We were not aware until we arrived that the hotel was hosting a wedding party. We did at least manage to get a parking space, despite the best efforts of others to bag parking spaces.

The wedding party meant there was no bar service and no restaurant. So it was off into town to search out suitable locations. The town is about as exciting as the hotel, dull and in need of a complete refurbishment.

Breakfast was dull an uninspiring. 

Adequate but horribly dull

Our visit to Tauberbischofsheim was a culinary flop!!! We two people were rejected at 13.35h. There is nothing more to eat, we could drink something, I think I don't need to stress this for a seemingly renovated place.

On Sundays, customers will be turned away from the market starting at 1:35 p.m.

We can't recommend the Badische Hof any further. An unattended beer garden (which was closed that day), a tiny stinking bathroom, the equipment at the sink reaches just 3 cm into the sink, impossible to wash at least your hands properly here, bad smells from the shower, old stone hard and washed frotte towels. It's not possible to dry yourself off at all because of the narrow closed door in the bathroom at the shower. The TV in the room is so small that you can hardly see anything from the bed, the lamps are dirty, reading is impossible. Overall the room is so small (little?) and pretty tight.

It's not a nice end to our cycling trip.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend this hotel any further! After the unmotivated greeting (I dared to check in during the employees' break - 5:30 p.m.), the young man was able to explain to me with great difficulty and inquiries about the WLAN and breakfast times. The question of whether he could help me with the suitcase on the second floor, of course, did not come up. The room (see annex) could simply be described as an enlarged penthouse at all. You can stop by the sink in the bathroom without opening the doors.

Not to recommend!

Not a great experience to be honest, we arrived to find the owner/manager berating guests for sitting in the reserved area of the beer garden although another member of staff had sat them there. While we watched the spectacle a couple of our group of nine (5 rooms) went to check in to find they had no record of our reservation although we could show phone and email records of our correspondence! After about 15 minutes we were given five rooms although I had already seen on booking.com straight away that they had at least 5 rooms available. It seemed all the rooms were the worst 5 available except mine which was rather nice! Breakfast was served at the table because of covid 19 but again the mood of lady in charge had not seemed to have changed much. Checking out was slow and painful as the lady was working breakfast and reception and as such long lines for both were the result.

Would of loved to have given more stars

A small, cozy beer garden with a very nice service. The food was good and delicious portions. A good address for a Sunday trip at moderate prices. A very successful start to the post-Corona era.

A very pleasant stay despite Corona

Hotel is good! Clean, service takes care of the guests and the standard is still ok. Nevertheless, there are a few improvement suggestions: - Renovating the bathroom (please with floating on the floor) - Pay attention to sound protection when changing the windows! - New TVs (closer picture) - Offering second pillows (different size) - Breakfast: No tap water/mineral water - No oatmeal

Good with potential for improvement

Excellent location, two steps from the centre. Small parking space of the facility available. Family-friendly hotel, friendly and available staff. Not very new structure, not equipped with elevator. Large room with bathroom in the room, old furniture. Everything quite clean. It has a restaurant where you can eat typical things, good quality. Breakfast also sufficient. Recommended for short stays.

On our bicycle tour along the pigeons we stayed here. We were welcomed and were able to accommodate our bicycles in the garage. To greet, there was even a beer! The room was OK and the bed was good. Unfortunately, the bathroom was really terrible: plastic flooring sticking to the feet, a terrible white ambience, a little soap and a (!) small pack of shampoo / shower gel. Donors in the shower and sink would be better here. WLAN was good. Unfortunately, the rooms are extremely bright from the yard (until midnight even though the beer garden was closed) and also from the staircase. This was very good. The restaurant was closed early. Unfortunately the reception was unmotivated and occupied at the check-out.

OK, but not pleasant or quiet!

Nice, old house. Parking in the courtyard right next to the house. Cozy beer garden. Simple, a little old rooms, but okay. Food and breakfast delicious and sufficient. Junior manager very friendly, competent and service oriented. Glad to be back!
