This hotel is sadly at best a three star hotel. The rooms are decent to be fair but the staff unfortunately are not all polite (let alone friendly), the food at the buffet very poor quality, and the restaurant hugely overcrowded with people wondering around looking for a seat and none of the staff interested in helping. 

The beach the hotel sits on is very pretty but there are no where near enough (sadly old and quite a few broken) sun beds. Oh and not enough space for the guests cars in the car park.  There is a nice beach bar next door where you can rent beds if you’re happy to pay - the staff there are lovely too. 

The hotel don’t change your beds (due to covid) unless you request it - which I did this morning. At 4pm they still had not shown up. Theoretically you can change your towels each day but when you try to there is either no one there or someone there who says they have no towels and they have no idea when more will be available. 

I have asked to speak to the hotel manager but as many of these issues seem systemic I’m not sure how/if it will be fixed. 

Perhaps out of season the experience is different but at the moment I’m sorry to say I’d highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay in beautiful Halkidiki.

Not a four/five star hotel sadly

Friendly and helpful staff, apartements were nice, clean, daily roomservice with clean towels, quiet place but top located, seaview, near the beach, shops and restaurants. Pool perfect for relaxing and swimming.

Best Greece Holiday

Pleasant, very clean hotel thanks to the attentive host Joanna. She made from our holidays real HOLIDAYS, for which I sincerely thank her. A real presentation of the Slovenian tourist slogan “Tourism are people”.

Among the cleanest hotels

We were there for a week in July, the structure is really nice, beautiful Ida swimming pool x swimming, cozy, spacious, very nice rooms. Exceptional balcony overlooking the sea. The night sleeps cuddled by the frost of the waves on the rocks and the noise of the wind. The owners are very kind husband and wife, hospitable, always ready to suggest stages or visits, never invasive. We would like to return, maybe in September, in July the water was very cold.

A dream

Service was great!! Rooms were cozy, large, very clean and daily towel and bed linen change. Washing shell could be a little bigger. Ventilator for toilet use needs to be adjusted. Hotel directly on the beach, sea noise depending on the type of person from romantic to uncomfortable, soothing for us and with the fantastic sunsets an unforgettable experience!! We were accepted by the hotel operators as long-time family members. Joanna and Vassili as well as the always smiling Alimatu are the nicest people you can imagine! A reunion at the Athena Palace is as good as a fix for us.

Kindness and Readiness to Help

First of all the positive point the view that is magnificent of this hotel all along the seafront however the negative points it is multiple stairs for example we have 156 steps up to go to breakfast and back down to reach the room well on the shuttles that exist but fairly irregular schedules obligation to take it to the beach for example the lunch main restaurant is closed obligation to go to eat near the pool or we are e.fume by the grill and furniture worthy of a canteen not normal for a five star as specified by very good personal service very present and pleasant

It's beautiful, but...

Karpathos is an island full of life... at Athena Pallace we felt at home, Johanna is kind and open, always smiling. Her husband is a nice all-rounder.

I'm going back!

Three-star hotel with swimming pool. Joanna (Georgia) and her fellow hotel owner are very kind and caring. I would call it a Hotel for Germans more suited to their standards than ours. In fact, all the magazines available are German. They park at the edges of the pool with beer. The minimum breakfast. Baths with shower and curtain. The location is decentralised compared to the village and overlooks the sea and wind that is otherwise very strong. For those who love the fragrance of wind and waves is satisfied both during the day and especially at night.

Everything is relative.

After visiting a few Greek islands we decided to make our 2018 holiday in Karpathos and stayed in this wonderful hotel by the sea, for two weeks at the beginning of August. The studios are all bi-local, very beautiful and well maintained, we were on the first floor with a breathtaking view. The cleaning is done every day with change of clothes twice a week. The market, taverns and car rental are 200 meters away, the center is 5 minutes walk away. Arkasa is very nice and characteristic. The nearest beach is 5 minutes walk away, you pass by the street underneath the hotel. Joanna and Vasilis, the owners, who always remain in our hearts, are always available and will fulfill the request.

I stayed at the hotel for a week, and was very happy with every possible aspect of our accomodation: friendliness of staff, cleaness, location,... Apartments are great, the view spectacular, the sound of waves when going to bed amazing. A clear 5/5 rating.
