Sandy's Studios Apartments & Log Villas

We stayed for one week in room 123. Studio was spotlessly clean at all times and the whole complex is very well looked after.
Air conditioning is available at a charge however we did not require this as we took our own fan.
Studio was cleaned every day with towels and sheets changed every 3 days.
The only 2 things we would improve - our shower was an open one with no curtain or cubicle making hte bathroom floor very slippy. I know from other guests and pictures that this is not the case in all studios.
The supplied hairdrier was a wall mounted circa 1960 tubular one which was no good for me.My advice - if a hairdrier is important then take your own.
Location - we love waling so the 10 minute trip to the sea front was not a problem and the 30 minute walk from there into Kos Town centre was an enjoyable stroll. We explored all around the studios on foot but most people seemed to rent bikes.
I highly recommend Sandy's for rest and relaxation and will definitely return to Kos.

Great 2* studios

Stayed in 2 apartments for 2 weeks with Dad, Uncle and three kids 14, 12 and 9. We were given a key for the connecting door which was a huge help. Spotless rooms that are very well equipped and really comfortable beds. 

The pool area is brilliant, extremely clean. The kids spent hours in there.... plenty of sun loungers and the bar is great with lots of choice. All of the property is very well maintained. Pedros and the other younger man work so hard and are very helpful. 

FOOD. All the meals we had were lovely, breakfast, pool bar meals and the restaurant, the Gyros plate amazing.... Must try the Stifado. The best ever.....kids really loved it. The night we arrived.... (almost midnight) they cooked us pizza which was perfect as we were all hungry.. we really appreciated it... 

LOCATION. It would be much easier to hire a car or bike. We chose to walk into Kos Town 30-40 minutes and use taxis on a night as the roads are not that great for the kids to walk back up hill to Sandys (Dark and cars, bikes everywhere) €7 from dolphin in Kos Town.... 
€6 air conditioning per night... works well. 
All in all we had a great time. 

TIP... 
if you buy the kids inflatables that need blowing up they’re more than happy to do it. No need to cram into a taxi 😂

Family holiday

Fantastic place to spend a holiday. The studios are very  spacious and spotlessly clean. Our housemaid Sophia  made sure of that. The swimming pool is a good size with plenty of sunbeds to be had . The family are lovely and all staff are friendly. Pedro keeps the bar and restaurant running smoothly. Breakfast is available with snacks all day and evening meals. Good fresh food and good prices. Sandys is situated in the countryside but a fifteen minute walk gets you to the seafront. We walked in to Kos town most days but the majority of people (mostly Dutch) hired bicycles. I definitely recommend Sandy's.  Forgot to mention the comfortable beds.

Happy times

What a lovely family run place this is. So friendly and welcoming, couldn’t of asked for more. We went here on friends recommendation. For a lovely chilled weekend away. This place certainly lived up to helping with it being just that.

First trip to Kos, What a lovely weekend we have had.

We stayed here for four weeks in June in room 115. . The family are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The studios are large and airy with decent sized balconies or terraces. We've stayed in accomodation all over Greece and can honestly say Sandys is the best we have found. I wanted to take the bed home with me as it was so comfortable. Constant hot water....another first on a Greek island and excellent wifi. Very clean everywhere  and our lovely maid Sofia kept 'our' place spotless. Location was brilliant for us as we like walking but most guests hired bicycles to reach the seafront. A taxi into Kos town was 7euros each way . The restaurant and bar on site is very good. Petro keeps everything in order. There's also a mini market for the basics. Wine, cheese, bread and water in that order!! Great pool and plenty of sun beds with fantastic views . I could go on and on  praising Sandys but go for yourself and you'll see exactly what I mean. A big thankyou to all the family and staff .

Four weeks in june

Stayed at Sandys studios 6-13 September. Had a lovely weeks break in Kos. Sandys is situated on the outskirts of Kos Town and in between Kos Town and Psalidi. 

There is a small mini market on site but there are larger ones nearby, about a ten minute walk. The ones we went to were on the main road by the beach (turn left out of the site then left again, follow the road past the football stadium and Palm Beach then turn right at the main road entrance) although we did find another supermarket (which was slightly nearer) on our last day which was a right out of the site, keep walking until you get to a T junction, turn right and there’s a supermarket about 50 yards on the right.

Sandys itself is a lovely quiet place to relax and unwind. During our week there was no scramble for beds....there are plenty for everyone.  The swimming pool is ample for a dip to cool off during the day. The pool snack bar is reasonable, we only ate there once in the day during our week and had a toastie each for €2.50 each. A large lager was €3. The bar was always busy during the evenings too. A lot of fellow holidaymakers ate at the taverna which had ‘specials’ each day but we did not eat there during our stay. There is a safety deposit box that you can hire for the week for €20 but you get €5 back when you leave.

The room (107) itself was a studio so was one room and a balcony, but was plentiful for us as we sat outside when we were there. Bed was comfortable and maids came in every day to tidy the beds. 

The best way to get around is by bike. You can rent these at Sandys for €4/€5 a day or you can pay for a full week (prices are shown on a board at reception). It took us approximately 40,45 minutes to walk right into the centre of Kos Town but on the bike it was around 15 minutes. There are plenty of tavernas in Kos Town but also try and visit the local tavernas on the seafront (turn right at the bottom of the road next to the palm beach hotel) in Psalidi - we ate out at two different ones and one of them you can sit at a table on the beach.

If you’re on a bike you’ll have more options to explore the beaches - we went to one near Sandys (near the water sports area) and it was €3 each for a sunbed and parasol but also included a bottle of water. We explored further up the coast, past Kos Town harbour where you were asked to simply buy something from the taverna in exchange for using their sun beds and parasol. The sea further up the coast was much calmer to swim in.

We would recommend walking up the old town in Kos where there are some lovely traditional tavernas all located in a square.

We spent a lovely week in Kos and would definitely return.

Lovely week in the sun 

As always, thanks to the years and experience, every time I go back to Greece I look for a location in studios/villas (there are a thousand rental cars on the island, no fear). It is just outside Kosissima Town (about 2 km), in a slightly upscale, in a green countryside surrounded by olive groves, frosty plants and orchards without problems. Greece is explored without problems, especially in the islands. The Sandy's studios is an excellent starting point for visiting the island, having a lot of money for accommodation (there are a thousand rental cars on the island, no fear). It is located just outside Kosissima Town (about 2 km), in a slightly upscale, in a green countryside surrounded by olive groves, with frosty plants and frosty gardens. The simple structure of the hotel, with a shade roof on the two floors of the hotel, is also well suited to the needs of the hotel, as well as it is a good place to stay on board, as well as the most beautifully decorated rooms that have been built in the

From here you will discover Kos.

Honestly, I was thinking better, the staff is kind and available, unfortunately the room wasn't the best, our room was at the entrance to the ground floor, here the wi-fi didn't take to connect we had to go outside, room placed at the height of the street so to not show inside we had to always have the curtain closed. To take advantage of the climate as it was written on the site Zone was payable (here nothing to laugh at) there was no double bed there were 3 beds of which 2 nearby, blankets provided by single beds with a space of 10 cm between a bed and the bathroom, the spring mattress was very uncomfortable because the pillow was thin. the bathroom was very clean and the kitchen was too tight and broken, there was no toilet.

Discrete, but there's better.

Very nice apartment complex located just outside Kos Town. Restaurant, bar and supermarket inside the structure. Beautiful swimming pool but never used given the number of beautiful beaches available. Very very quiet at night. Recommended even for those with children...

Cozy and functional

I stayed in this residence for a week with my boyfriend. The owners are very welcoming and available. We had the apartment. As soon as we entered I didn't have a good impression, it wasn't very clean, but after a quick walk with sanitary napkins it was already much better! The furnishings are old but essential. Every day the beds are repaired, every 2/3 days they change the towels and on Saturday they do the general cleaning. The residence is well maintained and cared for every day by a very generous gentleman who is dedicated to maintenance from morning to evening. In the restaurant/bar area, every evening a typical Greek dish is cooked at very cheap prices. Finally, I recommend looking for a quality cleaning/price system.
