We spent three weeks in the Peloponnese without renting a house. We stayed three nights at Maria's. I admit it was the best rental in terms of ratio/quality/price. We were very well received, warm, friendly, efficient, professional. The studio is very functional, clean, clear, well equipped. It is located two steps from the beach and the city of Gythéio is not far away. This house is very well maintained by women who know how to be human. BRAVO to them. Dominique

Best rental in three weeks

We stayed two days and two nights in this place. Everything is perfect, well maintained, clean. The apartment is well equipped for cooking and dishes. The bed is large. The manager is very available and there is an excellent restaurant in the center of the village. The view is clear and the balcony is spacious. Only the bemool on the mattress is a little soft...

Quality report price unbeatable

The host was very friendly. The room was clean. However, the television was tiny and didn't work. In fairness, we could have asked the host about this but since we were only staying one night, we didn't mention it. Also, the airconditioner made a loud strange noise and we thought we better not use it. WiFi was available but not reliable. Quite expensive for what it was (65 euros for one night) in comparison to other places we have stayed.


Not bad, overall.

My brother and I have pretty simple tastes and needs, and for the price we were expecting budget accomodations, but we are still somewhat disappointed in this place.  Suffice it to say that it doesn't quite live up to its description.  On the Positive side: full sized refrigerator and stove; table to sit at for meals both in the room and on the balcony, clean smell in the room when we arrived, and clean sheets and towels.  We like the location, the distance from the beach is fine (you can drive right down and park on it if you don't like the walk), and the beach itself is lovely and uncrowded with real sand, not rocks like so many Greek beaches.  On the Negative side: the grounds are weedy and unkempt with piles of construction rubble strewn about, including a pile of gravel right by the front steps which doubles as a cat litter box.  Consequently, the 6+ cats that roam the grounds have made it rather unpleasant to be outside because of the pervasive smell of cat waste, which also greets you as you come up the front steps.  The internet was useless in our room, and although I was using data, my brother kept having to go out on the front patio to get a wi-fi signal.  It appears to have been constructed or remodeled by someone with little or no actual carpentry, electrical, or plumbing experience as there are pipes coming out of the floor with tape over them, switches that turn on no lights, and wires sticking out of the wall from ragged holes. Lastly: the beds are of the inexpensive, hard mattress- without-a-box spring type, the toilet is cracked and leaks constantly on the floor, and the shower is so tiny, you can hardly move without the plastic curtain sticking to you. If there are other places nearby that are available at this price, you may be better off checking them out.  Or not.

Not like the pictures

These apartments are clean and tidy and the room was adequate for what we needed. The location was not the most ideal with the beach about a 15 minute walk which was fine and very nice and this is where you will find the nearby restaurants of which we would reccomend Demestichas where we had 2 great meals on the beach. Gythio is about 2.5 Kilometres away and well worth a visit, we walked it both ways as we are reviewing on proximity for walking out and not by car. There is a supermarket close by and a little cafe for breakfast if you prefer.

A nice clean little appartment for a short break.

Clean, safe, pretty new very nicely equiped, friendly staff, in a good location to visit Mystras, Dilos Caves and explore the Mani penensula a don't miss if you are in the area, its very unique and interesting. The apartment is a short walk to a very nice beach.  The only drawback is the local area. The little town it is situated in is kind of dumpy, seems to have been hurt by the economy.  If it wasn't for that I would give this an excellent review as a value apartment.

I'm really sorry to have to write this review, because Maria, the owner of the place is very pretty, however: 1. the place is expensive for the average 2. the rooms are basic and furnished 70s 3.
