We had a very poor, stroppy and inhospitable welcome (and throughout our stay) from the manager Christina which marred our stay. The room and view was nice enough but thats what you pay for in Santorini. Irina was very helpful but overall I would not recommend this hotel. Save your money and  go somewhere that hospitality actually means something.

Save your money.

The hotel is in the middle of Firostefani, very small, very central to this. We stayed for two nights and each night we got ourselves a meal for the room, because the caldera view from the balcony and the sunsets were so beautiful. There were even two chairs. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is in the room, you could choose what you want. A small shop is right next to the hotel. From here you can also start the hike to Oia. We would definitely come back.

Great stay with Caldera view!

Always great. Very clean. Very well situated. Very nice views. A nice lunch. And Mr. Panos' team is always as friendly and professional. A reference. We came last year and we came back this year. We recommend.

The best location on the island, quiet but not far away. It has an incredible view of the caldera. The attention of the staff was excellent. The breakfast (you have to inform what you will want the day before) is brought to the table on the shared terrace. The Wi-Fi fails quite a bit. Sometimes you hear too much noise.

 Location and inmejorable views.

Christina, the manager, was friendly, accommodating and was very helpful with anything we needed.  She even made our restaurant reservations.  The view from the hotel overlooking the Caldera was magnificent.  A wonderful breakfast is included on the balcony with the the great view.. 

Unforgettable view

Wonderful location in Firostefani. Just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Fira but still a great atmosphere. Xrisitina who met us was delightful and always helpful. Our room (103) was a reasonable size, very clean and modern. The views were absolutely amazing over the Caldera. Just as good as many of the more expensive hotels. Breakfast was not huge but definitely adequate.

Beautiful view but the rooms are loud can hear everything from front door to inside the bathroom. Breakfast is basic. Had front desk book a tour and was overcharged quite a bit. When I got to the tour some people paid at the tour and realized we were overcharged and quoted all different prices. They were dishonest and didnt think the tourist would talk and compare prices.

The view is what you are paying for

We stayed at Hotel Mylos in early May for 3 nights. The hotel was excellent and the host, Cristina, was wonderful. She answered all our questions and was extremely helpful. The view of the caldera was breathtaking. Breakfast was served on the balcony each day and also was excellent. We totally recommend this hotel.

Mylos hotel. 
What a view! The room with two twin beds as requested was small. Only one of us could walk across the foot of the bed at a time. There is a mini refrigerator and a safe. There are several outlets which was helpful. The hanging bar in the room was a bit high to use. However, I am somewhat petite. 
The shower was a good size and the rain shower head had good water pressure. The trash bin in the bathroom was nice tight fitting so no odors from all the toilet paper in it. Just a side note, you are not allowed to flush toilet paper anywhere on the island. 
The gentleman at the front desk was wonderful. Very kind and explained the bus system, provided a print out time table of the different lines and provided directions on how to get to the bus station in Fira (about a 15 minute walk). One day when we had to leave before breakfast times, he provided yogurt, tea, a kettle for hot water and cake for us the night before. 

Breakfast is limited due to no full kitchen. 
If you stay an extra period of time and tire of the same thing, you can bring some alternative spreads for the bread. I saw someone else with some hummus. But the view while eating breakfast is unbeatable! 
You can also watch the sunset from the comfort of your balcony and no crowds. Because the path is in front of the hotel, there are not a lot of people walking by. The only people that walk by are those that stay in other hotels below. 
There is a shop right in front of the hotel where you can buy bottled water and snacks. There are several reasonable food take out places a minute walk away. There are also several sit down restaurants within 1-2 minutes walk. I can recommend Vanilla Sky. Hotel Mylos is near the action, but is peaceful. 
All in all a lovely stay on the caldera during high season that didn’t break the bank. The hotel was recommended on one of the Trip Advisor forum. It is possible to have a caldera view and not destroy your budget. I’m so glad we stayed here.
