Very unhappy with this hotel. The only reason we chose it was to have a hot tub, and when we get there it'd simply another small ice cold pool beside the larger pool. We ask the hotel owner if he can turn on the heat, and he refused multiple times. I think we were the only guests there, so they didn't want to pay to heat it? Multiple websites stated they had a hot tub/jacuzzi so this is blatant false advertising. Then we tried to go into the swimming pool, and they acted like we were insane for even suggesting it. The wife was shouting in Greek that the pool was closed. It was +20 Celsius and we're Canadian so that's warm enough for us. But the pool was absolutely filthy. And the morning when we went to leave, we discovered the floor was completely infested with ants. Disgusting. Stay anywhere else! This ruined our time in Santorini.

Worst hotel ever

Our stay at Hotel Anessis was absolutely wonderful! The flat was spotless upon our arrival and cleaned daily. The hotel's location was fantastic, within easy walking distance of Thira town, buses, local shops, and bakeries. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. I would definitely love to stay here again; it offered excellent value for money, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
During our stay, we initially stayed for three days and then ferry-hopped to Ios. However, we had to return to Santorini earlier than expected due to a ferry cancellation caused by strikes. The Anessis staff showed incredible compassion and generosity. They allowed us to leave our bags in the reception area and relax by the pool free of charge on the day of our flight home where we had nowhere to go or stay all day with our cases. They refused to accept any payment for this kind gesture. The staff at Hotel Anessis truly made us feel like family during our stay and would recommend staying here to anyone.

Most friendly staff and amazing location

It's just a few hundred yards from the fairgrounds and a two-minute walk from the bus terminal so logistically perfect, clean rooms and friendly staff.

Splendid hotel 2 min walk from the centre of Fira, with car/quad parking inside. In a very quiet area although it is central. Very close to the bus station (5 min walk). Dimitri and his family were very hospitable, they helped us for all needs (car hire, request to keep luggage even after checkout). Splendid swimming pool with access 9-21. Splendid spacious rooms, clean and with everything necessary for the living room (spacious refrigerator, glasses and utensils, boiler). Changing sheet and bed every day perfect!!

What a wonderful hotel!

Good location close to the centre and the bus station. free parking with plenty of space. outdoor pool with all amenities. terrace with beautiful sea views. hotel staff very friendly. complete accommodation. clean and beautiful.

Fantastic hotel in Fira

Excellent hotel with pool within a short walk to bus stop and cliffs of Fira. Staff are very friendly and helpful for transfers, excursions, etc. Rooms are very big, comfortable and clean. Highly recommend if you want to stay close to Fira with great accomodations.

Excellent hotel and staff

Very good value hotel. We enjoyed the quiet, spacious and clean room. The hotel is a few mns walk from Fira and all amenities. The swimming pool area is nice to relax. The staff is caring. Breakfast was good. The hotel booked us a nice driver to the port, at a competitive price.

Good value hotel

Myself and my partner have just returned from Santorini, the hotel is great! Definitely value for money, on arrival the owner showed us to our room and how everything worked in the apartment, explained where the main town was etc. the main area is around a ten minute walk from the hotel, all uphill so don’t take any heels!
The pool area is lovely, the sun beds are comfortable as well as the beanbag style chairs, pool was clean.
The cleaners came to our room daily, no issues with our room and the bathroom was well equipped! You have a fridge, kettle and coffee / tea facilities.
All in all, a fab place to stay and would definitely recommend

Fab august stay

The hotel is very clean and well decorated and well presented and most even ground floor have sea views.It’s not far from town only 10 minutes. The owners are always around until 8pm . It had security cameras . The pool area is nice and has a small pool and jacuzzi . The staff are lovely and rooms cleaned daily .

You are a few meters from the bus station, where you can move at a very low price to any point on the island of Santorini, and far enough away from the noisy and bustling shops and restaurants of Fira.In Anessis you will find what you want when you travel...in your own terrace of the room you have a landscape overlooking the sea and an incredible dawn, vegetation, tranquility, and, of course, the kindness of Dimitris, his owner, and his family.A feeling of being at home even though you do not master the language that matters little when things are done with love.
