We stayed with 3 friends for a weekend.We have two rooms with large and very comfortable wedding beds, a full bathroom with a happy and huge bath and practical kitchen.The location is perfect, on a street with many restaurants with terraces for eating or dining.The breakfast is included (in the cafeteria right next to the portal) being plentiful and very rich.It highlights the cleanliness of the facilities.Highly recommended.

Spacious and bright apartment, very clean. Bathroom with double sink, toilet, sink and shower. The owner was polite, picked us up at the airport and we paid a fair price

Holidays in Budapest

Apartment 2 on the fourth floor The photo of the site is that of the Music Conservatory and not that of the building!!! Apartment with large room and large bathroom and quiet Common in poor condition and dirty (the elevator goes to little luck) Small kitchen without windows, rather kitchenette (I can hardly imagine that we can cook otherwise the smells invade the apartment, and then the dining table is at the end of the bed) Users' equipment (mattresses and soft pillows have served too much, a shower door threatens to fall when you shoot it)

Apartment with large bedroom and bathroom but poor services

Fabulous location. We walked to all the Budapest sights from the property. And the airport is only 30 minutes away. 

The apartment we stayed in had a huge living / bedroom area with high ceiling, a large, well equipped kitchen with a breakfast counter and a very comfortable double bed. The bathroom was on the small side with no place to store toiletries except on the floor  but that was a minor inconvenience. All in all, a perfect place for a couple. 

Everything was brand new and nicely decorated as the flat had just been renovated. The living room overlooked the pedestrian square and restaurants, which was great. With the windows closed, we couldn’t hear any noise from the busy restaurant area below. Great selection of excellent restaurants just next to the property. Air conditioning was a welcome addition as it was hot during our stay. 

Manager was contactable via WhatsApp and very responsive. On our last day, he let us store our luggage in his office as we had a late afternoon flight, which we appreciated. Highly recommended. 

Fabulous flat and location 

The apartment is very well situated, you can see all the central points of interest on foot (15-20 minutes). It is a very good quality price. The host speaks very well English and is very welcoming and attentive if any questions arise during the stay.

Nice and well located apartment

We were met at the airport as organised which was good and we arrived at the apartment without delay we were met and briefly shown around, then came the question of payment for which we had planned to use credit card.  Credit card was not acceptable cash was needed and I was accompanied to the ATM machine this was all very rushed and forints were requested having had the quote for accommodation in euros we were not sure of the exchange rate and assumed the owner was accurate however in hindsight the €214 euros became 75000 forints and this we were told included a discount for cash my later calculations revealed an extremely poor exchange rate,  we were told that the transfer from the airport was free as we paid cash but in retrospect feel fleeced!  We were given a 10% discount in the restaurant next door and a token for two free breakfasts but there was no welcome drink as advised on booking although 6 bottles of water were supplied.  (The restaurant next door was excellent.)

The apartment reminded me of student digs with basic facilities.  There were leaks in the bathroom and a leak evident in the kitchen.  The boiler was screened from view but a peak behind the screen revealed an elderly boiler held together with tape and a discolouration mark due to heat! The lights did not work in the hall and the radiators in the larger bedroom and the bathroom did not function.  Beds were hard and sheet very scratchy we had chosen a two bed apartment so we could have a room each but only one bed made up on arrival. 

In the bathroom was a glass block wall through which we could discern a light and see a door way from the neighbouring flat this seemed most peculiar. 



Not my definition of luxury!

When we got to the apartment we realized that it was small enough for us to stay in 4...the kitchen was a micro with a very small table with 3 chairs, no ovens but a plate added to the last one that didn't boil even water. Only one of the two rooms was big enough, the other right behind was suffocating and without TV. The walls were cardboard and there were noises coming from all sides.

I'm going to...

The apartments are located near the OKtogon Square, square served by the metro. Our apartment was the deluxe, spacious, very clean, spacious bathroom and very very comfortable. No sin to report, the boy who welcomed us, very kind and available. The area is very quiet, as well as a little of all of Budapest. Very recommended.

It's a great position.

We spent a lovely 5 days in Budapest and used the apartment as our base.

Please do not use Google to find the apartment though as this takes you several stops north on the M3 metro to Ujpest - and a retirement home of the same name! I would recommend googling "Cafe Vian" instead which is right next door to the entrance to the block of flats in which the Liszt House apartment resides.

You will need to contact the host who speaks excellent English to obtain the key code to enter the block of flats - he is on Whatsapp so this was easy to do. Once you are in, the lift takes you up to the 4th floor and the Liszt House is clearly marked through to the right.

The host lives in what is effectively the loft and owns the two apartments beneath him (all 3 are accessed via the same main door).  We stayed in the larger of the two apartments which he rents and it was very spacious with a small kitchen area, a massive bathroom, a separate closet and a sofa as well as the double bed.

There is wifi and we were given the code - just a word of warning that the connection is quite slow so sending a text would be fine but uploading photos etc. was a no-go.

The apartment (once we found it with the correct address!) is centrally located within a few minutes' walk from Oktogon tube station.  We took the 200E bus and then the Metro (with one change at Deák Ferenc tube station) - in total the journey took about 50 minutes and cost just 550 HUF with a "Transfer ticket" bought from the airport (about £1.75) each - much cheaper than the taxi and probably not much longer.

As well as Cafe Vian there are several other restaurants on the same road as the apartment so you don't have to go far to eat - although the noise from the restaurants goes on until midnight or so - swings and roundabouts...

We managed to explore the city on foot with ease from the apartment with Heroes Square and the Szechenyi Baths about 15 minutes walk away and the many bridges across to Danube to Buda also within 15 minutes or so.


Lovely apartment, great location

The property is located very close to main tourist attractions. Just a few minutes walk from the main tourist places and also two Metro Stations near by. The room we stayed was very spacious and clean but the main problem was to find it. Main photo of the building published on booking dot com did not match with how the actual building looks! I found the photo to be, kind of, misleading. therefore we struggled a bit to find it when we arrived. Did not have enough towels and bed had no bed sheet. The lift to 4th floor did not work most of the time. The owner of the apartment is new in business but was very helpful though. Anyway.....when you come to Liszt Ferenc ter, if you can not find the apartment just look for Cafe Vian. It is next door to it. Owner of the apartment can be contacted by whatsapp too. If breakfast is included in your booking just remind the owner. Breakfast was good by the way.Thanks
