We booked the table online, which was easy. 

After arrival we were received by a very friendly service team. They explained, how the ordering process works, properly and they answered all questions related to the dishes as experts in a very friendly manner.
We chose tuna tartar and octopus carpaccio as starters. The dishes were perfectly arranged on the plate and were just delicious! 

After finishing the dishes, the service team was immediately at the table to take away the dirty plates and to deliver the main dish. Just a small suggestion to the service: you may give the guests a little more time to digest the great dish. That was just a little bit too fast.

Main dishes were two different fish soups, the marseille soup and the Nordic soup type. Both were great and we enjoyed the eating of different fish, mussels or other sea food. 

Unfortunately, we were not able to eat a dessert. We are very satisfied with our stay at the restaurant.

Perfect choice for fish

We had a business meeting in this restaurant. Service was truly horrible.. we had to wait for our food for 2 hours.. waitress forget to bring drinks..personel was trully rude and not profesional
Food was undercooked.. rice was tough and octopus too cheewy… one of our guests didnt get food at all…no sorry no excuse from stuff…  i am very disapointed

Terrible experience

Concept tres fun. Service at the top. Good advice on wines. Three good products and superb food. Special recommendation for the octopus carpaccio.

That's nice.

I experienced many other hostels in Budapest and the atmosphere and comfort of this one is the best : it's simple, clean, bright, colorful, spacious and pratical. The owner and the mananger are fine people. They just have to be a little more careful about some volunteers but most of them are always nice, polite and helpful. Concerning guests, I always met friendly and interesting international and hungarian people.

The Best in Budapest

Came here with friends. Weird ordering  process running backwards and forwards to tables. No menus at the tables..  Very crowded   When food came it was beautifully tasty. Wine good. However after eating we noticed a dessert preparation cook using the same hands as preparing oysters. No gloves no washing no apparent concern for cross contamination. 
Would not recommend.

With zero expectations I found a home in Budapest. Was initially searching for a chill hostel where I can get to know awesome travelers, and less drunk tourists. Wellll turns out I picked a 10/10 hostel.
If you're not into the crazy party scene in Budapest and you're genuinely looking for a comfortable stay, interesting people, and a great sleep - this is it.
Super clean, extremely cozy, and the staff - I'm in love. I had the best fckin time with you guys. Mac, Ben, Theo, Gabe, Natalie. Thank you so much for the warm welcome, you have a home in Tel Aviv. Just say when.

LOVE THIS HOSTEL

With the hostel laying near the nightlife clubs it is perfect for those who want to explore the city and also want to enjoy their nights. The hostel offers an atmosphere as where you think you are at home. The staff is really nice and will provide you with everything you need. When we had to check out but had to wait 4 hours for our train they let us stay in the living room where we watched movies with them.

Had a great stay

We went there twice while we were in Budapest.  You get in line and pick out your giant shrimp.  They cook them precisely the way you want them and suggest a good wine to go with them.  We sat outside on a blistering hot night and Big Fish had these lovely sprayers that misted you but somehow didn't mist the food.  It made the evening.

Such a good place

The location of this hostel is excellent (it is very close to the metro station that comes from the train station - about 5 to 10 minutes walk). The staff is very attentive and proactive. I found it very interesting that the management of the hostel asks the guests to leave their shoes at the entrance, which makes the hostel much cleaner. The only negative point, in my view, is the fact that the private room with double bed is right next to the reception, which makes all the noise and voices flow into the room, but as I was almost all day out, it didn't bother me much.

Excellent hostel, very friendly staff and great location.

Whilst I throughly enjoyed my time in Budapest, this was due to the company I was with rather than the hostel. In other words, had the people staying in the hostel at the same time as me not been up for going out at night, I would not have had a good time. 

This hostel is not very good. It organises NO social events and is NOT a social hostel- as it advertises. The staff were rude and unfriendly and quite frankly made me feel uncomfortable. They were very cliquey and would go out at night in their staff group- completely disregarding their guests which was very strange compared to other hostels.  One of the staff members also slept during her shift... The staff also STOLE their guests' food from the fridge, despite it being clearly labeled. I was in the room whilst two staff members came into the room and took my coke right in front of my, commenting to each other how it was free. Additionally, my friends UNOPENED juice was taken, and our vodka was put into the 'free food' section, again despite being clearly labelled. This is unacceptable. 

It does not provide breakfast or padlocks. Only redeeming thing is that it does provide a fully functioning kitchen for cooking.
