It's been a long time since it was renovated. Over the years, the rooms have been smelling soft. There are spider webs everywhere, in the rooms, in the pool area. There's a salty room to breathe salty air, it's full of mold, so at the moment there's no offer. Everything needs to be reviewed once in a while. Nevertheless, the staff is very nice and friendly.

We were pleased with the room. It was nice and clean, even had a fridge. Strange, but the restroom had no sink for washing hand. The breakfast was plenty and tasty. They made fresh scrambled eggs by request. We missed some espresso fro our wake-up course, but the long coffee had the caffeine too. We loved the mattresses - nice firm bed!
The staff is friendly, the swimming pool is a gem.
Overall very good place to spend a few nights.

Clean, friendly place close to the city centre

Although the building is old, the room we had was spacious, with one large closet which is perfect for riding a motorbike. The equipment always takes up a lot of space, a very proper bathroom and a small balcony overlooking the garden. A beautiful indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and sauna available free of charge.

Good quality price ratio

I enjoyed my vacation in the resort area of Lake Hewiz - in a thermal spring not far from Budapest. This is really a place for those who want to cure arthrosis of the joints, in general from problems with the supporting device. In the very complex of Lake Hewiz excellent service, not dependent on human factors, everything is computerized, you only need to determine with time bathed and pay for services accordingly, better - at least 10-12 hours per person for those who came for 7-10 days. The Hotel Agnes itself is a comfortable boarding house with breakfast, it is located a kilometer from the therapeutic Lake Hewiz, near and conveniently.

Relaxation is needed by those who care for their health

The hotel has a free pool, jacuzzi and sauna, running until 8:00 p.m. The breakfast table (included in the price of the room): Swedish table with vegetables, sauces, cheese, sauces (but without meat) + any of the 6 or 8 (I don't remember) dishes to choose from. It's either a few types of eggshells, or half-baked bread, or a few minutes' walk away with your food, etc. In the center of the lake, there was also a huge pool with a pool with a pool, but there was also a large pool in the center of the lake, but there were no claims about the size of the lake.

I don't know what other hotels there are, but this one looks like a Soviet hotel.

I agree with the reviews: uncomfortable mattresses and pillows, towels and dresses are hard and old, no shampoos, no soap, no shower caps. The price and quality don't match. The old soft furniture. The fan can be taken for a while at the reception, but it's dirty. Breakfast is not impressive. I enjoyed the friendly staff, the pool, the jacuzzi, free parking.

First time in Hewiz.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2014, the hotel was small, but very cozy, our room was on the 3rd floor (preferably on the 2nd if we count from 0), it was a pleasant surprise that the standard room had a kitchen (a small kitchen corner with a tile, laundry room, cabinets, refrigerator and dishes), for us this was very relevant, as the hotel provided only breakfast, although there were no problems with the restaurant staff in the district and you can always eat deliciously.

Family hotel

Like everywhere in Heves, there are many grandmothers mostly from Hungary.In the hotel there is a treatment of dirt. Massage on 13E. Physiotherapy and salt room free.and so is the indoor pool and sauna Finnish.from the center is nearby.Atpeca row and shop.Good breakfasts.There are rooms with kitchen-flat refrigerator and coffee maker that worked strangely.The tea room we never found.

It's a quiet hotel.

We never had Mattresses as hard as these. Waking up with hip and backaches was no fun.The towel are as hard as sandpaper.The rooms and bathroom are very dated left over from the 60th..The location is perfect and so is the indoor pool.
If you still like to stay in this Hotel DO NOT BOOK WITH THE HOTEL DIRECTLY since it will you cost a lot more.

Mattress or wooden board

From the outside, Hotel Agnes is adorable - very Alpine and Heidi. The receptionist only spoke Hungarian or German, and a bit of French. She showed us photos of breakfast choices and we had to choose the one we wanted. There is a small buffet of breads to go along with the egg or crepe choices.
The rooms are from another century (which is probably when the balcony was last swept). The bathroom is divided, with the toilet on one side of the small entrance hall and the sink & shower on the other side. I haven't seen a shower with a rubber hose for many, many years. The towels are either sandpaper or perhaps something for exfoliating! The hotel advertises a "salt cave", which turned out to be a small room with two plastic deck chairs and a bunch of salt bricks piled up on the sides. 
The double bed was in fact two singles pushed together but there was only one sheet, which did not fit over both sides. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable.
We enjoyed the absurdity of it all, but as it did not come cheap, (€162.50 for a double and a single), perhaps the joke was on us!
