This hotel combined for us a quiet, cool, clean room with friendly, English-speaking staff, a perfect central location in Kecskemet’s historic centre and a remarkably good price. 

Our ground floor room had excellent air con, which was really valuable in very hot August weather. Breakfasts were good and the receptionists, who all spoke English well, were very welcoming. 

I don’t agree with the review which says the hotel is hard to find: I saw its large sign before I had even started to look for it. Re the review about the Sunday morning church bells, we heard them too but the excellent air con meant we could keep the window closed, so not so much impact on us.

The hotel’s location is equidistant from all Kecskemet’s sights and close to restaurants and shops, so it was practicable to return for cool rests during the daytime. 

‘Improvements’ are planned soon. If that raises the price a bit, that will be a pity. For, from our experience, this hotel was really good just as it was. We were very, very satisfied.

Quiet, cool room, perfect location, friendly English-speaking staff

Good value, but could improve some things. The AC (silent) in my rooms only provided fan mode, not cooling anything down which the room really needed is on the second floor with the roof as walls meaning that the room was totally exposed to the sun. Really hot in the room and the AC provided little assistance. Wi-fi is free but slow and spotty. The room I got had a low bathtub as the only place to take a shower, without any curtains so a flooding in the bathroom was unavoidable. The locks on the doors seemed to be just one push away from being opened without locking up first. Breakfast ok, but a bit limited. On the positive side there is the location in the middle of the town with a parking garage straight below the hotel and the large shopping mall next door. All the top restaurants within walking distance too. Staff speaks good English and are kind and helpful. AC- and shower-issues would make me pick another hotel in town.

Decent, but not my first choice in town

The small hotel on the first floor of a small shopping centre in the absolute centre of the city (with garage in the house at about 10€/night - access from the inner ring - no elevator) is certainly not a luxury accommodation, but quite decent. Surprisingly large room with double bed, desk, dressing room, sofa, enough closet, small TV, no minibar. Furniture right but simple. W-lane in the room. Bathroom in principle OK, but seals of the shower are uncomfortable. Breakfast without warm food is well sorted and fresh. Staff at reception and customer service are exceptionally free and aware. The surroundings of 5 feet to all the essential amenities of the city as well as some good restaurants.

It's central, cheap, and neat.

The staff are friendly and happy to help (they agreed to put our food in the refrigerator for the night). The location is very convenient (the very center). The presence of breakfast pleased. Clean. Free parking under the hotel. A little scared in the morning the bell of the neighboring church. You can only get to the hotel by stairs, and this is an inconvenience if you have a heavy suitcase or a child in a stroller. Normal Coffee for breakfast for an additional fee.

Modestly

Smells like cigarettes everywhere and windows don't open, bathroom is dirty and full of mold, staff is overwhelmed and unable to deliver, parking is hard to find, as bunker looks.

2017, stop it!

The hotel is well-located and is fairly well-kept. The personnel are friendly and the breakfast is quite good. There were two problems, though: the HEAT and the NOISE, and I couldn't do anything against either. My room had no air conditioning, although the hotel advertises itself saying almost all rooms are air-conditioned. Mine wasn't. However, I paid the same rate as others who did have an air-conditioner. And I couldn't open the window either because there was a very loud noise from some kind of industrial size heat exchangers - even during the night. So I didn't sleep well and I was hot all the time. It's hard to call that a good hotel, because comfort and sleep are the two things people are looking for. When I asked for another room, they said they didn't have one.

We stayed at this hotel at the end of January 2016. We arrived in the evening, it was already dark, we immediately found the hotel, because the entrance was in the inner courtyard. We drove around and around for a long time, but we called the hotel and the daughter of the owner of the hotel helped us quickly. Moreover, she came out and helped us find a parking space for the car. The fact is that this is the city center and the parking lots are all public, you can park only for the night until early morning, and the paid parking was closed. The hotel itself is excellent, clean comfortable rooms, you can sleep perfectly. Very welcoming staff, morning breakfast (paid separately).

Quiet and cozy.

We are repeaters, this time we took our friends to visit the countryside and people in Kecskemét. On our trip it was very important to stay in a central location - to walk to the main points of departure such as town hall - restaurants and shopping. Not to forget that in Hungary the fare limit is 0.00... and we like to enjoy a glass of champagne for breakfast on holiday. So we decided on this small but fine hotel, the facilities, the rooms, the breakfast buffet, the location in the center of town... just brilliant. The performance ratio still fits... the service is exceptional and good to come back. The hotel's price is always uncommon and guests always go on a tour of the countryside, and we always recommend investing in this hotel.

The perfect short trip to Kecskemét

The small but fine hotel in the centre of the city of Kecskemet is highly recommended, the hotel is centrally located in the city centre and you can reach all the objectives of the city centre on foot. The management of the Hotel Annamarie is exemplary in its efforts to respond to customer requests or actively ask for feedback to increase the services and service even more. The price ratio is excellent and is not only recommended for private bookings, as you can also enjoy the benefits of the central location as a business traveler:-)
