The only positive note is the lady at the reception. Very kind and competent. For the rest nothing positive. Breakfast is something sad that recalls the years of communism. In Hungary we had a lot better. The gentleman who takes care of breakfast is the same one who made us move the car from a parking lot in front of the entrance to the hotel to park his car, despite being told and proven that they were travelling with a wheelchair handicapper. A real gentleman. Parking lots are abusive users of the pool adjacent to the thermal pool. The management is unable to change this attitude. So they tried to find parking lots 100 meters away. Absurd. And yet it would be enough.

Abandoned

The hotel itself is small, neat, modest. The service is disgusting. The room has uncomfortable bedding, a refrigerator, a fan. There are no toiletries and microwaves with a teapot. The breakfast is very tasty, always the same - an omelette, there should be sausages, but there are never any, bread, a couple of sausages. Yogurt on demand. The staff is unwelcoming, especially the man who smokes in the kitchen and blames the guests for using dishes during breakfast?! It's normal the panties are dirty, the washing is only once worn, of poor quality. Once things are not as they were brought. There are no toiletries at all. There is no old bank with a drinks so it's impossible to call it a drinks in a couple of days, if it's about the maximum amount of time you can eat it.

Disappointment

Don't even try to stay in this "hotel"... Time stoped there twenty years ago. Rooms and bathrooms dirty and mouldy. Owner only observe how to cheat you, does not speak any human language. I gave two stars only for localisation - twenty metres from thermal pool.

Do not even try...

The reception is not really unpleasant, but you can't say that he really speaks English. No time to answer the questions because the boss is both in charge of the reception, the kitchen and the service. There is also no real bicycle parking (reception hall) and car parking there is nothing private, just places in front of the hotel. The rooms are old, housekeeping approximate. Closed safe! Contrary to the description of no wifi connection in the hotel, this does not work, like the air conditioning, on the other hand, when you signal it to the reception, the answer is in French  c'est la chaleur de la ville .

What to Avoid

This hotel has very few rooms, it's a family-friendly, cozy room. It was modest, but with air conditioning. Free wi-fi was good, and I enjoyed breakfast. You can try a lot of Hungarian cuisine.

A small hotel.

The Hotel boasts 3 stars, but it's not even a good one. At best it's still suitable as a refugee accommodation. No one speaks German, the rooms are cloudy, on the flight the laundry is dried, heating to dry the bath clothes is not in operation, the whole day smells of old frying fat. The breakfast is all microwave, even the lukewarm coffee is not fresh. The hammer is the special room: Caution - don't trust the card. Finally, you'll be presented with another card that is actually valid. For each accessory you pay extra, and the food is also from the microwave. Absolutely not recommended. I'll never book there again!!

At least as a refugee shelter...

Spartan, uncomfortable, bathroom so tiny I couldn't dry off in there; food rubbish; owner rude & unhelpful. We had to brush up the broken glass in the car park....he merely shrugged. He was not happy to give a receipt upon payment of bill. He was abusive to his employees. No wifi was forthcoming, even though it was supposed to be free in hotel.

Do not stay there!

Rooms are very simple but were clean. We had  only one bath towel each, no hand towel. Room for 4 is basically 2 rooms together but very tiny, be aware of that. Restaurant was terrible, menu wasn't "updated" for at lest 20 years. There was only one lady in the kitchen for lunch and dinner time, she burnt some used oil straight away as she arrived stinking the whole hotel out, we still could smell that terrible smell the next day! So we've rather gone out for dinner.
At breakfast there was one man there only (I think the owner himself) being receptionist and cook in one person. We were 8 of us, serving us were ridiculously slow, and when another family arrived for breakfast, they were told that they have to wait at least half an hour! Ham&eggs was fried eggs with a disgusting looking cold meet(see photo). We were there in low season, don't know if service is any better in the summer, but wouldn't risk trying it.

The Aqua Hotel is perhaps the smallest hotel in the spa area where there are several successive hotels all with access to the back pool. The room was very spacious and everything very clean. The owner was very kind in giving us dinner even at an expired time... among other things also very tasty! fabulous the outdoor swimming pool is very hot!
