I booked 5 nights in this hotel from 30th September to 5th October and paid 19,570 in advance , but could not check-in as I met with a severe accident on the way from Manipur by road.

Since my car got damaged I had to return. I called the hotel the same day and informed them of the situation and requested them to accommodate me on other dates to which they agreed.

When I finally asked them to provide me room from 11th to 16th of October, the hotel refused. One Mr. Hlua 9862920010 rudely told me they will not give any rooms and I can do whatever I want.

I am saddened by this behaviour in the hospitality industry in Mizoram and afraid this will dissuade tourists from visiting the State.

Frauds - Stay Away

Aizawl is very Piece city of Mizoram State and also the Grand Hotel, Aizawl is located in heart of the city. Easy to accessable from any part of Aizawl. Staff if very helpful. Hotel very neet-n-clean. I strongly recommended peoples to stay there. 

Stay at Aizawl.

Located at City Center. Very clean and free from bad smell. Staffs are good, not professionals, but very polite and helpful. Nice breakfast. Only suite type rooms have aircon.  Room size is small but OK.

Nice Location

I feel that you are getting value for money here! Frankly, I only visited friends staying here, but I was shown around the “establishment “ as I’m always interested to know my options and choices! I’ve been traveling in the North-east and Bhutan for about half a century and if this were my first visit to Aizwal I’d like to state in a simple and friendly place like this!

Good Backpackers Place to Lay Your Head

Recently we have stayed there for two nights with family. The hotel is centrally located. Overall a good place to stay. It is preferred to opt for front side room for road side view. The crew members are well behaved. We did not have any food over there, so cant comment for the same.

Good place to stay at City Centre

Couldn't give the hotel 0 stars, as there were two positive sides of this hotel.

1. Eccentric view from the room window.
2. The staff were courteous and smiling.
3. The location was good.

Now the bad things

1. The hotel wifi was worse than horrible.
2. The walls were damp and the plasters were coming off. The wall really looked nasty.
3. The AC would not work all the time. Sometimes, I'd have to call the house keeping guys to fix the AC. They will come with some stool and fix it from the indoor.
4. The current would fluctuate some of the time. The generator needs almost 5 minutes to get the power back up.
5. The food is not at all great. 
6. The service is also very delayed.
7. The hotel owns the smallest & weirdest lift in the world. Only one person can enter the lift. Also, the lift starts from first floor. From reception you'll have to take the stares and then take the lift.

As per the charges the room size and other amenities are not at par. We asked for double bed room with roadside views and they offered us a very small room. That room is o.k with business travelers but along with small kid is really difficult. Bathroom was aweful as toilet flush n drainage system were not working properly. They have lift for upper floor. Wi-Fi was good in the room not in the lobby. Limited complementary Breakfast were offered at the restaurant like one portion of Paratha, egg or any beverage. It is easy to locate on the main road, just opposite to KFC. Good for one night stay only.
