I stayed for two nights. Great place to meet like minded travellers. They host many fun events and the vibe is really nice. The staff is very helpful, they even helped me get a local SIM card! The water is free and the rooftop has a nice view. I was able to wait for check in in the lounge which was nice.

Great start of my trip

Two of us stayed here in a mixed dorm, originally booked for three nights but swiftly added a additional day onto the visit. 

The shower was hot, the bathroom and dorms were clean and tidy, the breakfast was spot on, they run a regulated AC time, however when they turn it on they always come into the room to check it’s working ok which is a nice touch. 

The owner provided us with a self tour which we completed, if you want to do the park in full, set off early and make a day of it, we got caught in the heat so we had to spread it over two days. 

The area has great transport links, busses, metro and also Uber/Ola. We flew into Bangalore and then used the free WiFi in the airport to arrange an Uber as we believed we would have missed the last bus. Uber was 800R for 40Km (this includes any charges & tolls) 

The walk to the metro is nice (you can bus it cheaply) , it is around 1.4miles and takes around 20/30mins, the cost of the metro is very reasonable (maps.me doesn’t currently have the metro layer loaded but they have a picture in the hostel). As above there is a small walk to the ‘centre’ however it means that you are away from the noise so it makes for a good nights sleep. 

If I returned backpacking to Bangalore I would stay here again.

Good breakfast! & Good location

Nice hostel, good location, clean dorms/bathrooms and many breakfast options. The hostel has one mixed dorm and one female dorm. There are lockers available in the dorms and there is a closet for you luggage.

Nice hostel

Despite having good facilities and a top breakfast, it’s the atmosphere of this place that is absolutely making it. The staff are happy, helpful and friendly and the kind of people it attracts are fun which will always make your stay a great one. Would definitely return if I come back to Bangalore.

The proper hostel vibe

I loved it, I stayed for a month and it felt like home. Very friendly and loving people helping you and supporting you always. The owner is fun and very decent and the manager is friendly and so kind.

Great experience

Hello everyone, I was in Bangalore one night and had a really great time here! Both staff are super friendly and have great tips for excursions ready! The rooms are air-conditioned and clean, breakfast is easy, but the cook makes a fantastic masala omelette, I can only recommend. Thank you again!

A dream for a backpacker!

It's quite rare to go abroad, and especially to India, and find a place where you feel so good that you can stay indefinitely. The place is clean, the warm welcome, cheap and breakfast is free. Add to that a Wi-Fi that works more than well and a hotel that organizes small rooftop parties on Friday nights... the best guest house ever.

Like at home.

The clean place, the comfortable rooms, in a super busy and entertainment sector of the city. The staff is very nice. Too much recommended! Very good price-quality ratio. It was a home for that month.

Excelentes is a great place to start.

We're making a short stopover here in bengalore for 1 night. The accommodation is outside bengalore city (with ricksha about 45 minutes - about 150 rupees). it's hard to find - the best place to set up on google maps beforehand. we book a 4 bed room. the room is not very clean but ok. community bath is ok - there is quite a better one but suitable for the price. every evening there is a party in the neighboring hotel (which somehow belongs to this) the breakfast is excellent :) the city has an excellent representation in my view.

Perfect for party people.

My friend Jen and I had the best time at the Electric Cats Hostel! It's in a very safe area, the metro connection to the center is spiky and even rickshaws or taxis are absolutely affordable. The hostel is still very new, Stan and his wife Sneha are perfect hosts and want to soon expand the hostel, as well as set up a restaurant on the ground floor. Right now there's a six-room, mixed air conditioning with nice, large bathrooms, two extra toilets, a rooftop terrace and an open community room/restaurant/breakfast room.
