Worst Hotel experience ever! Dirty Bed and towels and mold on the walls (super deluxe room)! Also extremely loud because of partys and constructions. No Wi-Fi available. Long: Reviews claiming it was clean and cozy are confusing because it was quite dirty and uncomfortable. The room even has black mold on the walls!! I doubt the hotel staff are aware of how bad mold can be to one's health. They should clean and repair the walls. The room was also not smelling good because of the mold and it was moist and cold.
The towels had numerous brown stains and hair and were slightly damp, yet folded as if freshly laundered. The bed was also filthy, with the sheet, duvet cover, and the pillowcase being dirty with stains and hair. the pillow case had black mold stains even after we asked them to change the sheets again. 
It was very cold in the room, and they charge additional 500 Rupees for a heating machine. When we aled for a heater because the room was 10 degrees no heater was available. Also the Wi-Fi didn't work at all! 
Sometimes there are very loud parties and weddings in the garden, also during the Night. I guess the whole Town could hear the music. If there is no wedding there is loud construction going on for the next party.
The Prices quoted at the reception for the rooms were significantly higher than those listed on Agoda. On agoda it was quite cheap and on the reception quite expensive for what you get.  The view is good and the room was big, also big bathroom and at least the sink and the floor and shower was clean. Modern furniture. because of the mold, dirty bed and the noise we felt uncomfortable.
We came to the mountains and dharamkot to have some peace and quiet and instead it was probably the loudest place ever because of the partys.

Not recommended- very bad.

We have booked super deluxe room which is nice.Spacious and good view.location of the hotel is away from market around one kilometer.limited food options as they dont have Tandoor.Always take Dharamkot Road to reach the hotell never come from Bhagsu side its very steep.

Nice Stay

If you are travelling to Dharamkot to relax or for a staycation , then this is the right place . The staff is so courteous and helpful . The owner of this property is a gentleman and he makes sure that you are having no problem in staying . The view the food and the rooms , everything was so perfect .

Dharamkot Resort

Gagan resort is my fav place to stay in dharmakot. After a gap of 7 years I stayed again here in Dharmakot. Same good vibes. Room so clean. Lift coming up in march. Staffs were so helpful and cooperative. Room service was amazing. They will arrange taxi also for you. Amazing view from room.

Excellent Experience and Staff is very helpful in nature and Rooms are very good. Location is superb. If u visit this hotel must try Dal Fry and Special Tea.  If u want to visit Take a taxi from Kotwali Bazar Dharamshala.

The room was big enough for a family with a Fan if the weather is not favourable. It is located in a calm location and the Room services were prompt enough. Only thing is they get up only after 7.00 a.m.

Calm location with Pleasent views

Gagan resorts is a beautiful resort in dharamkot. About a kilometre from main mcleodganj.
The rooms are modern, clean and have amazing views! 
Th staff is friendly and helpful. And also has a free parking. The area is quiet and serene!

Excellent place to enjoy Mcleodganj.

I stayed in Gagan resorts for 4 nights and 5 days. it was a walk-in booking, i stayed in deluxe (normal) room for 3 night and shifted to super deluxe for one night. 
Value from both rooms were amazing since this hotel was built on at some height to ensure that every room would have good view. They have well maintained large lawn for small party or a leisure walk. Ample parking is also available. 
Deluxe rooms have basic facilities and decent and confirmable bed and bathroom while super deluxe is almost same size but with upgraded facility and better interior / upholstery. 
Hotel staff was very polite and courtesies, food was good and not overpriced. However you need to order meal atleast 1 hour in advance so that they can prepare accordingly. 
Its 2 KM from Mclyodganj and around 500 mtrs from Dharamkot village where lot of eateries or grocery shops are available. You can talk to Dharamkot village in 5-7 mins using stairs. Bhagsu village is also 10 mins by walk again by using stairs. In night, I recommend to use auto/taxi to reach this place. Taxi generally charge Rs 150/- per trip. 
Overall – I highly recommend this hotel.

Good location, polite staff and value for money

A basic hotel with big rooms but excellent views. The best in my Himachal tour. Prompt room service. Asked for a mosquito repellent and got one in minutes. 
The hotel is situated way ahead of McLeod Ganj so you will be very far the hustle/market area of McLeod Ganj. Food options will be limited i.e. the hotel itself or any other hotel nearby.
Food is ok. Expected wheat parathas not maida ones as we were in Himachal. Staff is very courteous. Breakfast was in the lawns which is very good experience.
Recommended only if you want quiet and secluded experience.

Budget hotel

Hotel Gagan Resorts is situated in Dharamkot which is 4 km from Mcleodganj. The location is very peaceful away fron the chitter chatter of Mcleodganj. View from the hotel is  very soothing. Food is average.
