You cannot term it as a resort actually. It is a place with five or six rooms which are very comfortable though small with windows opening towards lake. The facilities provided at a place with no network connectivity are good. Food is homely, staff looks after you personally. Cannot expect anything better at such a place with extreme cold and windy weather. 

A good place

I stayed here as part of a Ladakh Wildlife Tour organized by the Bombay Natural Historical Society. The accommodation is situated in a remote and desolate stretch, to which I instantly took a liking. 

In fact, I liked the place so much that I wanted to explore it right away with our driver, but was stopped by our Group Leader, who insisted that the driver take some rest. Though I was dejected at first, I opted instead for a short walk on the main road, which was thoroughly enjoyable.

Given the remoteness of the location, the rooms were pretty decent and had comfortable mattresses and blankets, in addition to neat and clean bathrooms. The staff were courteous and polite and did their best to make us feel at home. Every person was provided a bucket of hot water in the mornings, and power was available in the late evenings for about four hours.

The food served in the dining area was fresh, tasty, and homely. It was quite obvious to us that the choice of food items would not be expansive, but the freshness and the taste of the food more than compensated for the lack of choice.

This accommodation is best suited to serve the needs of Wildlife and Birding enthusiasts who wish to explore the the nearby Tso Kar Lake and the adjoining plains, which house some amazing biodiversity, including the beautiful Black-Necked Cranes, which also happen to be the State Bird of Jammu and Kashmir, in addition to Tibetan Wild Asses and Tibetan Wolves. 

The sight of a family (Father, Mother, and Juvenile) of Black-Necked Cranes grazing in the serene environment, in which we were the only spectators, was a sight to behold.

Overall, the stay was a calming and rejuvenating experience. I will definitely return to continue my exploration of the biodiversity that calls Tso Kar home.

Only For Those Wishing to Explore the Biodiversity of Tso Kar Lake

Simple but functional rooms. No hot water when we arrived, but the staff brought a bucket of hot water to each room so we could freshen up. Electricity only in the evening. Slippers for the bathroom in the room. Most rooms offer a view to the colorful mountains and the lake.

Not for the cold days

First i want to mention that the map location of this place on TripAdvisor is incorrect. The map location say its in leh city but it is actually located next to Tso Kar. We stayed here for 1 night after visiting Tso Moriri. We were afraid that it will take too much time riding from Tso Moriri via tsokar and Tanglangla to Leh so we decided to spend a night here. If we had to replan we will not spend a night a Tsokar though as there isn't much scenary and road from Tsokar - Leh is awesome so you can easily skip spending a night here and reach Leh directly. But anyway it wasn't a bad stay either.

It is nice place to spend a night. Got good/tasty breakfast and dinner. Don't have hot water facility and you will only get 1 bucket of warm water in the morning.  Location is awesome. Staff are good either. Room is clean.  We stayed in the concrete room one (not the tent) but still got some picture of tent. It was warm inside the tent when I was checking out. Similar to concrete houses they got attached toilet in the tent as well.

There wasn't much of nice scenery to take pic, so mostly we spend time with friends and taking rest. and as biker were just riding bike around in the open space. It was fun though , rarely any people there.

Nice place to stay in Tsokar

Whilst touring in this area we booked in here and were not disappointed.
The small motel type rooms in cottages were nicely appointed and self contained.
The bed was fine and we had a good nights sleep.
Obviously due to the remoteness of the area some things were fairly basic to western eyes but we were very happy to stay here.
We ate our evening meal in the small restaurant/bar andeverything was freshly prepared. There was no formal menu and one just asked for what was needed and if it was available you got it.
The car was outside and we spent a very comfortable evening and good nights sleep.
The nearby lakes help many birds and much wildlife.
We would stay there again.

A great place to stay.

It's the best of the two facilities, simple but with a wonderful view of the lake. It's worth taking a dip in nature with an evening walk to the lake.

Wilderness

The resort stands at the edge of Tso Kar and the location is picturesque. The rooms here are minimalist, yet work....they are kept reasonably neat and clean as are the bathrooms. Hot water is available on demand. The few staff that are there try and do the best they can. They have a couple of tents too.
Food is not really great...so it's a good idea to carry some ready-cooked meals/snacks.
