Nice and cozy stay at the heart of Mussoorie with the Mall road at the front and a perfect view of the mighty Himalayas at the back😍. Hospitality by all the staffs definitely deserves an appreciation! Lovely property with a wonderful restaurant! Amazing quality of Food was served. Overall a memorable stay at Mussoorie for 3 days (from May 2nd to 5th, 2023)☺️.

It was great hotel. Location was great. The hotel is just walking distance to the mall road. The rooms was neat and clean good. The restaurant has the most amazing food. The staff was very cooperative and stayed in the hotel for three nights. Highly recommend

Awesome service.. Beautiful rooms equipped with all necessary things..rooms were compact but clean and well furnished n special rooftop arrangements for breakfast n sunrise watching. Helpful Staff.Enjoyed the stay

I had 2 rooms for 2 nights at "Hotel" Ratan while travelling to Mussoorie with my family. We reached the Hotel after a long drive and were pleased to find the hotel located at a prime location and on the main road next to the Library.
Having checked in, we were allotted 2 rooms adjacent to each other on the first floor. The rooms were of decent size and looked good enough at first glance. 
Once we settled down, I noticed that the water jug was half filled and seemed to not have been changed. Things started going downhill from here.
1. My wife, went into the bathroom and soon noticed that the toilet seat was very loose. As a result it was unstable and she slipped off it. We called the reception to get it tightened/fixed and a maintenance guy was sent up soon. However, his attempts to fix the same failed.
2. As he was leaving, we also noticed that the bedsheet was full of stains. He decided to tell us that "itna to chalta hai".
3. One of the side chairs was badly stained and torn - looked worse than a seat on a govt bus
I decided to call the reception to get our room changed. We were shown 5-6 rooms and unfortunately all of them had most of these same issues.
Even though it was already 7 pm, dark and raining outside, we decided that it would be better to ditch this "hotel" and search for another. We were charged Rs.500 to have the rooms cancelled inspite of this bad experience.
Luckily things worked out for us as we found a much better hotel which charged 40% less. 
If you do decide to stay at "Hotel" Ratan, I would suggest checking the room prior to paying them a penny.

"itna to chalta hai" stay here is you're okay with mediocrity

Good Hotel for Family, Location almost unbeatable, Just 50 m from the Main Center Gandhi Chowk.
Room is slightly small than average. Amenities available in the hotel & room is average  but needs improvement..
The food quality of the hotel is very good.
Overall service is good. Room was clean but no WiFi in the room.
Overall recommendable.

Family hotel with a Very Good Location...

The location is great, 50-100 meters from mall road. Parking facility available. Stayed in deluxe room, which is ideal for two persons, because deluxe rooms are small. Room service is good, food is a little expensive but is of very good quality. Deluxe rooms don't have valley view.
The negative point for hotel- bathrooms don't have ventilation.

A good hotel

Hotel Ratan is a good Budget hotel and location is perfect, it is just on the Mall Road at Gandhi Chowk. They have a car parking which is on slope so difficult for new drivers or inexperience hilly driver to park there vehicle; however; hotel staff helps you out in that so thanks to them. Room size is considerable but not big enough. Amenities in the room are limited and Fittings are older and definitely needs improvement. They have total 5 floors; 2 are above the ground floor and 2 are below. Rooms on 1st & 2nd floor having good velly views. They don't have lift so choose room number 106 or 107;which or on ground level; if you are visiting with elderly persons. They have kitchen and restaurant and food quality is good but expensive.
If you get delux room around 2K/night is still worth it.
