This is our second time stay here with tight temple visit plans and Mr.Kannan was very cordial to help us with our budget plans. Decent room stay if coming with overnight sleep. A simple stay then this is a good option.

Budget Stay at hotel

One of the worst hotels at Kumbakonam. BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL. They ask different higher rates for already pre booked room. The rooms were dirty especially bathroom, when reported,the owner said we made it dirty within hours of stay,also there was enough mosquitoes to ruin our sleep and there were no help from staff when reported. Such an arrogant behaviour. Please call me on 9037004451 for the details. Don't get cheated We left the hotel before completing.the booked date. PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOU NEED A PEACEFUL STAY.

Worst Stay at Kumbakonam 

Booked this hotel for few days stay. But vacated on first day itself. Had a feeling of staying in lodge. Doesn't have hotel room ambience. Beds are having dirty look. Pillows are stinking. Not value for money. Not fit to stay with family. Over all room is having dirty look. I will NOT recommend this hotel for family members stay

Stay

Recently stayed there on a tourist visit with my family, Had a reasonably pleasant experience. Please note that the veg restaurant on ground floor is not operational now, it is closed. Also free wifi was not working and very slow when it was working on a couple of days. 
Pluses:
   Attentive staff and room service
   Good water flow in bathroom
   Decent selection of TV channels
   Close to the bus stand if you want to take mini-buses to travel within town
   Although it is close to a high traffic area, no noise in the room.
Minuses:
   Bathroom door mat was dirty and towel was also dirty. Needs to improve here.

Decent hotel near Bus stand

The hotel is located at main place. Not provided any water bottle also. The morning breakfast rush can be seen. Earlier stay had better experience in morning brkfst and stay. Hope need more maintenance in room.

Kumbakonam visit

veny irresponsible, noting worked in room properly, for hot water almost 15 people went to different bathrooms to take bath. when same was told to owner, he replied people come and leave so we are not bothered. Neve ever expected such behaviour.

Very bad experience, arrogant incharge/ owner

Booked through online portal. We had booked standard non a/c rooms and we were allocated a room with a/c(to be used as non AC) later we were asked to move to a different room.  The bed linen were torn one. Needs replacement and improvement in house keeping

The rooms are not sound proof you get lot of road noise. The parking is in the road. Looks there is a near by bar and you will find lot of drunkeds around.

Needs Improvement

I read some of the reviews and I really feel some people were over critical. I feel the review should be in perspective of the location. Given the competition, I think this place was fabulous, just to stay - neat, clean, spacious, well maintained rooms.

Friendly, helpful, polite and courteous staff. Mr. Kannan, Mr. Venkatesh, Mr. Amal Raj, Mr. Beepan, Mr. Makesh and Mrs. Jansi at the reception all were extremely polite, helpful and friendly. Needless to mention they are at all times very sincere with their work and hard-working.

I must appreciate Mrs. Jansi at the reception as she was an excellent help in planning our trip and it was due to her help that we were precise in the temple visits and completed it in time. Also must appreciate Mr. Kannan to extend help on the last day with some excellent room service to help us get moving in time.

The pricing is also very reasonable. I would highly recommend this place.

Excellent!

Towels need cleanliness. Though lady at reception said that breakfast is complimentary, next day morning we were charged for breakfast.  Vegetarian food is available. Food was good. Tariff is reasonable. If we book though website, charge is more.

Visiting temples

stayed in this hotel on 21st October,2018. The rooms were pretty clean. The quality of food offered in their restaurant was also good. Service was ok since there are definitely some scopes for improvement. We had to wait for an hour (from 10.00-11.00.PM!!) and remind the receptionist thrice to get an extra mattress. I would not recommend their their transportation facility. They have some tie-ups with a travel service provider and our experience with them was worse!! The driver wasn't friendly, marked up the distance between any 2 places to jack up the distance covered and thus demand more prices!! I think the name is MSR travels, so beware. 

But for that our stay was plesant.
