Deepak, the owner, booked me directly, booked us a visit to the National Park, helped us get transportation from Ida and back. It was exceptional all his help. But the best thing was getting to know his family and him personally. All charming. His wife, very attentive with a wonderful smile. 2 charming teenage daughters, interested in meeting people from the outside. The older one, she is an exceptional photographer!!!! She has a great collection of photos of wonderful birds from the reserve. She has a long future as a professional photographer. The house, very clean and cared for.. And the food. Mar y yo, we feel like at home.

It's better than impossible.

Had a lovely stay for 3 nights at TALA Camp. After the hectic pace of other places we had been, it was lovely to wind down and relax in the peace and quiet.  The family were extremely helpful and kind. We had two very good safaris,  saw a tiger each time, plus lots of other animals including,  we think, a baby leopard.

TALA Camp is a couple of km from the nearest village but the family will happily take you there.  Very quiet and peaceful- bring a good book!

A amazing stay and had a great experience in Bandhavgarh.

Rooms are spacious and washrooms are very cleaned.
The food was really really amazing and owner's wife Vidya ji makes sure the foods are cooked very well and maintain all the hygiene.

A great stay and an amazing experience from Tiger sightseeing to talking about the Bandhavgarh jungle and it's natural habitat with Mr. Deepak ji.

Mr. Deepak ji has amazing experience about the Wildlife and he shares all the valuable knowledge about the jungle.

We stayed at Tala Camp in End of February 2021 , me my wife and Son for 5 Nights and had unforgettable times during our stay, great Location, almost in the mid of National park Buffer Zone, delicious Food and matchless Hospitality.
It is absolute worth, if you want to get away from City Life Hectik , Tala Camp has peace and a haven of tranquility, 
Just pack your bags and go to Tala Camp to get time for yourself and experience Nature in its realm.
I highly suggest Tala Camp for peace seekers and wildlife lovers.
Great advantage at Tala Camp is it’s Owner Mr Dipak , who is a thorough and Passionate wildlife enthusiast with immense knowledge of wildlife.
Dipak has written the first Book on Bandhavgarh Tiger National Park.

Great Place to experience true wildlife and feel Serenity

If you're interested in wildlife, whether Tigers, birds or other animals, you will not meetmore knowledgeable persons in Bandhavgarh than Deepak and his wife Vidya.  They are amazing hosts, and a stay at Tala Camp is extremely relaxed and friendly, with some great home-made food.   I've stayed twice over recent years, and look forward to staying again in 2022.

Most Authentic &  Memorable Bandhavgarh Experience

Tala Camp is located just a few minutes drive from the main Tala gate and the village of Tala where local crafts and stores can add to your authentic rural India experience and provide opportunities to take home a painting, T-Shirt or other souvenir of your stay. The most important experience and memory to take home with you will be the moments you relive with Deepak and Vidya, your hosts at Tala Camp, of the tigers and other wildlife you have seen as you sip cool drinks and dine under the stars. Having travelled extensively around India's wildlife areas staying in many different types of accommodation in search of the elusive tiger, I can honestly say that nowhere we have stayed has been as clean and welcoming as our stays at Tala Camp in Bandhavgarh. If you have a food allergy, as I do, it is important to know that your hosts understand your special needs when preparing and serving food and snacks, Deepak and his family go out of their way to ensure that a variety of good quality home-cooked food is available at a time when you want to eat. This flexibility is great, especially as we always travel to India in the hottest months so sometimes eating when it's a little cooler in the evening is preferable. Other places we have stayed have fixed meal times, often allowing no time to wash and change after the safari before settling down to eat. No such problems at Tala camp.

When we can travel again, we will return to Tala Camp for sure, we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bandhavgarh, now we have found this little gem.

Authentic Experience of Life in Bandhavgarh

Tala camp Bandhavgarh is a excellent place to stay it's very much natural feels like in middle of jungle and surrounded by beautiful natural flora and fauna ,food is excellent very much organic generally used from their own veg field Evening camp fire is a memorable experience.owner mr Deepak ji and his staff is very caring

Unforgettable experience

We stayed at the Tala Camp for a couple of days in October 2020.  While the food, room, service is extremely average, and hospitality borderline bad, the prices for them are sky high (special mention for food).

#The rooms are cheap, but they will make-up for it by robbing you with food bills.

1. The food is bad, extremely overpriced.
2. There is no fixed price card, no standard quantity.
3. The couple employs untrained family members as butler, cook etc.
4. The service is extremely unprofessional, slow.
5. It is a home-stay with all its cons, but the prices that of a luxurious hotel.

This is a family-run place, and while the couple may be well-versed with their tale of the jungle, having stayed in its periphery for most of their lives, they really need to up their hospitality and think about providing a service value for money.

My recommendation: Don't another property-  unless you want to overspend on an extremely, extremely average experience.

TERRIBLE STAY

25th Jan 2021, we were at Bandhavgarh National Park in the Magdi Zone on an early morning safari. And Mr.Deepak said “You will never forget this day”. Actually he couldn’t be any less Correct!!!.
It was a chilling winter morning, foggy with a visibility of hardly few meters, we were on the last of our 3 safaris clutching a mix of anticipation, anxiety and the railings of the jeep wondering “could we be lucky today?”. 
That is what made the day spectacular, the day before Mr.Deepak had promised to be our guide and said “Its time I take matter in my hands”. You see, we were wild life enthusiasts but had never got the opportunity to sight the King of the jungle. The list of parks we had visited was quite impressive though Jim Corbet,Kanha,Bandipure,Gir,Sunderbans,Periyar,Nagarhole,Wayanad national parks, phew !!! but no sighting. We consoled ourselves to believe that the experience of being in a forest, in the wildness and being part of the serenity compensated the loss. But 25th Was different. And it’s a day we will never forget. Mr.Deepak led us through the misty woods, his experienced eyes picking the trail and the calls of the forest and we saw within minutes of entry into the Magdi zone, the majestic profile of Bamerason, a huge male tiger. But the real eureka moment came later, as we zigzagged through the forest, the guide allocated to our safari equally adept and focused on picking the calls when suddenly both our guides directed the driver to move towards a point, the spontaneity with which we zoomed towards there is still like a slow moving sequence in my mind, we were seeing a tigress Dotty cross the road ahead of us !!! I was awe stuck and completely forgot to even click any pictures, and it was the same look of astonished joy on Abhi’s face, we literally forgot to capture the moments on the camera but imprinted it on our minds forever. The spectacle of a King/Queen (in our case) walking, actually strolling by is defined by only one word Majestic!!. She didn’t stop neither looked at any of the jeeps waiting by with people gaping in wonder, it was just a languorous gait. And to say anything about our adrenalin rush will be futile, it could only be felt. Surely, we will never forget the day as Deepak Ji rightly said,” the first time is always special”
We stayed at Tala Camp resort owned by Mr.Deepak , managed by his wife Vidya , the place is replete with hospitality , Warmth and a passionate love for the park. This is what we found exclusive and elusive from any of the national parks we had visited earlier, here the forest officials, guides and all people associated with the park have a common thread running through them, they love the place and are passionately protective about their pride for the park. Their love and pride are visible when they say, you will definitely see a tiger here, when they keenly take you for the safari and painstakingly coordinate among the other groups to locate one, their anecdotes about the place, the fondness with which they tell you the names of all the inhabitant tigers, that enthusiasm and pride is something to carry back as a souvenir from Bandhavgarh. This is what we brought back home.
Add to that the wonderful food made by Mrs Vidya, the arrangements for permits and safari bookings, we have to mention the spirited drives through the terrains with Sandeep, expert on wheels!!, the campfires on freezing nights and of course the marvellous streaming cups of tea served as many times as one could crave for. The boys assisting the family were equally courteous and would like to mention the utmost care and attention they gave to our parents travelling with us, we felt as if we have known the Talan Family for long and it was a friendly get together, we had come to. We highly recommend The Tala Camp resort to all wild life enthusiasts and hope we get to visit again. Like they say “there is no WIFI in the forest but a promise that you will find a better Connection” sometimes this is all one needs.
And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul – John Muir’s words sums it up for me.

Unforgettable and Wonderful Stay

I wd just go to tala camp for Deepak.a kid born wild n spent all his time in wilds of central India. He knows more about things wild than any of us.camp is basic but all facilities including aircon.. Deepak is a huge bonus. Also camp has best isolated location where a leopard jumps in bonfires.dèpak is a living anthology of Indian wild life. He can talk for days reconturing his experiences. He was among the first once to document wild buffalo in central provinces.at night you don't see a single electric light.just listen to his stories of a bygone days.he is the real unrecognized wild man of India for he has no glamour around him .
