Achvana is less than 3 hours from Tel aviv andJerusalem; It has 8 cabins and a central kitchen -dining room; Perfect for family get-togethers: The accomodation is basic but well-conceived and comfortable, and the central kitchen works very well, and there is lots of room around the tables there. Our family came her for a long-weekend in October, and we were very happy -- and Shlomi the owner was very helpful in all our needs. We highly recommend, Cynthia and Ilan, Jerusalem.

Excellent Place for Family Get Togethers

If you are are lookin for a perfect desert lodge this place is amazing. You wake up and are almost alone. Our perfect place was the hanging chair on the small balcony. Shlomi, the owner served us a nice breakfast. The most unforgettable experience is their small, warm pool, which you enter when its dark, drift and gaze at thousand stars.

Great hang out in the desert

Achvana is a beautiful place, with a lovely quiet atmosphere. 
The apartments are spacious and clean, and the area provides a small pool and some hang-out places. 
The staff is very friendly and helpful. 
Don't forget to bring some groceries from one of the towns nearby if you want to cook some dinner.  
If not, there is a nice restaurant around the corner as well. 
I highly recommend visiting Achvana if you're looking for a peaceful getaway

Perfect hideout in the desert

This place is locsten at the very south of israel, 120km from Eilat. The suit  is clean the entrance room spacious with kitchent and two seating sofas.
Dinningroom table cattle and coffer needs .The bathroom big good water pressure and clean.
I would add some cookies,dates olive oil.

Quiet,clean

Spent (unfortunately only) one night in this magnificent place.
On the bank of a dry desert river, far from any urban civilization,  lies 7 desert cabins, fully furnished with all the necessary amenities (including a fire place).

There is a central place for any serious cooking, if needed.
The cabins are separated from each other, so you have complete privacy.

There is no breakfast, so come prepared.

We loved the place and will come back for sure.

An amazing, different desert experience. 100% piece of mind and a great view of the desert. The host, Shlomi, was welcoming friendly and . The rooms were clean and tidy and dinner and breakfast were extraordinary, cooked locally and fresh.
It was really a unique experience for us!

Amazing getaway!

After a wonderful experience with Midbara, we wanted to try the other side of Zuqim with Achvana. As the name indicates it is more oriented at groups seeking fraternity.
 Thus it provides more options to be together - the heated pool, two camp fire sites and the joint kitchen (cooking is prohibited in the rooms) all planned for a 3-4 families to enjoy a desert weekend together.
it is also built so cabins are close to one another and around the kitchen, fire place and pool.
the rooms are clean and  well maintained and shlomi and ben are friendly and helpful. However, pls note that: there is no shower soap, bring ur own. 
 The nights are freezing in winter time, u need to dress well. Also bring a flash light for nucturnal walks.
meals are offered by the place - great homemade breakfast with some 7-8 different cheeses and dips which i loved at 70 ils per person and a poyke dinner which we did not try. U r however welcome to use the fully equiped kitchen to cook urself. 
Premium cabins have a fireplace and a bath tub, while non premium only have a shower and aircon. Nohuge difference but I felt it does upgrade the room.
for summer time, some cabins have a small outside pool, if it is important - check that ur cabin has one.

a great option for groups to stay together but with privacy. ask for premium units
