I start by saying, as already pointed out by other users, that this is certainly not a four-star room; it was probably thirty years ago, now no longer. If you leave with this awareness you will not be disappointed once you arrive. I have given a fairly high judgment, perhaps too generous, because you are not bad anyway. However, the structure and everything in it is very dated and quite unmaintenance-free. To give an example, a heated room is missing for the storage of ski boots and the cabinets for skiers are very old and with faulty locks. The rooms are very vintage but quite comfortable, quiet and clean.

A slightly decadent nobleman.

What a wonderful hotel. Comfortable, warm and close to the slopes. The staff are fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and they helped us with all our queries in a timely manner. We would highly recommend this hotel for a ski break. The rooms are quirky and all have balconies. The shower is absolutely amazing after a hard day's skiing and dinner is plentiful and tasty. Breakfast equally os good. And staff are constantly on hand to clear away your table and replenish the breakfast buffet. There is a spa but we didnt use it as didnt really have time. We would highly recommend this lovely cosy hotel to anyone.

We stayed here for a short skiing holiday and to watch a family member compete in the youth Olympic festival. The resort is great and this hotel is no different. The people who run/work there are so kind and helpful, they really can't do enough for you. A few of the members of staff speak fluent English which was great as we booked quite last minute and I didn't have time to brush up on my Italian. 
Rooms are warm and comfortable, bathrooms are bigger than in most hotels and there are plenty of towels. 
The breakfast is lovely with a lot of choice and the staff refill it constantly - the croissants were very nice. 
Evening meals were great! Very varied day to day over the three courses and a nice selection of salad to choose from also. 
One of my favourite things about the hotel was that they allow dogs, and whilst I didn't take one, I enjoyed being able to pay everyone else's! 
Special mention to the front of house staff and housekeeping - they work very hard for the guests. If we come back to Piancavello we would stay here again!

Wonderful staff

I don't go too far since the previous reviews speak for themselves, hotel on the edge of legality to keep open, I don't know how I can be rated 4 stars, at most it's worth one and a half! Fatigued structure and rude staff, also wanted to pay extra things already included in the booking, I would say very clever. Dirty moquette, cracked doors, cracked bed sheet with built-in radio 80s, covered I never think I'll replace from the year of construction, like concrete and rust with balls and threads pulled, smell of old just crossed the entrance threshold! Yet we had to stop anyway having 3 children, but a ruined mini-holiday!

One star!

It's definitely not a four-star hotel from the 70s, broken bathroom door, limited reception, only the cleaners are prepared and kind. We booked luckyly with Groupon, thus halving the price of the room, otherwise I would have been even more disappointed.

Two stars, in my opinion!

We stayed from 23 to 26 December, half board, using a coupon. Hot and clean room. Frigobar in the room, perfectly functioning. Bathroom with comfortable shower, clean and warm. Great reception. All staff were very kind, showing professionalism and attention to the guest. Breakfast is rich and varied. The restaurant is excellent, from pre-baked to sweets. We very much enjoyed the salad buffet with several fresh proposals. A tribute to the staff reception and restaurant/breakfast room.

Have a great Christmas!

Although we left a little discouraged by the various reviews, for us the holidays at the Hotel Antares turned out to be a big surprise. The hotel has free parking outside and has a really strategic location both at the downhill and the back tracks. And for those who don't know there are beautiful walking trails. Our room was clean and cozy: the only negative note was the two single mattresses in the double bed. They were excellent and abundant, as well as the buffet breakfast. The staff were very kind and thoughtful. To complete the whole wellness centre with two saunas, the Turkish bathroom and the emotional shower we used and enjoyed the shower after an intense day of snow. I hope to return to the dining room.

Super-regenerative mini-holiday

We start from what is practically the only positive side: the hotel is in a good and central position. But...take the 4 stars and a half. Very old structure 70s (radio on the bed keyboard, bathroom agee with the phone of the shower that loses, carpets on the ground, TV of the pre-war). And indeed not even the price reflects a 4 stars, for the love of the sky, but affects the little general care. But... take the 4 stars and a half of them: both in the choice of the menu (tortellines to the bed, minesia of vegetables (a tasteless embroidery with a few pieces of floating vegetable pasta), served with a hot tub... The hot tub often served on the barrel of the shower, carpets on the ground, TV of the pre-war). And indeed not even the price reflects a 4 stars, for the love of the sky, but affects the little general care. But... take the 4 stars and a half of them: both in the choice of the menu (tortellines to the bed, minesia of vegetables) very active structure 

Go somewhere else!

I don't know how this hotel gets four stars, all the problems you can find in the other reviews, that's the extreme disadvantage, it's money wasted, rather look for another hotel.

That sucks.

We stayed one night in this wonderful and very quiet hotel immersed in nature. The staff is very kind and attentive to all needs. The rooms are very cozy and very clean. We dined in the beautiful room with very original lamps next to a hot chimney at the vaesana. An abundant buffet breakfast with the possibility of adding things made by the chef. It offers the opportunity to enjoy the playroom, gym, Turkish bathroom. Very close to Neveland. We will definitely be back.
