Very nice holiday, for the first time on the island of Elba, the place really deserves, Mrs. Luisa welcomed us giving us a lot of advice on what to see, where to eat and everything was perfect, the residence is managed really well, with all the comforts, clean, organized, with swimming pool where we would relax on our way back from the sea. We will definitely return.

What a lovely vacation.

We have just returned from our first holiday, certainly not the last, to the island of Elba. We stayed at the residence Le Solane. When we arrived, ahead of schedule, our guest Luisa had already prepared our apartment. So we immediately took possession of our accommodation: very large with two rooms, two bathrooms with shower, terrace with a view down to the sea, air conditioning in every room...and not for a last great cleaning (cost of 80,00 euros but it's worth it!). The afternoon we spent on the equipped swimming pool.

The view is breathtaking.

3-10 July 2022 Family of 4 people with children Location: vote 10 (beautiful view) Climate: vote 10 (always ventilated, no mosquitoes) Swimming pool: vote 10 (fantastic position) Position: vote 10 (central to the island, ideal for any movement) Access road: vote 3 (full of holes) Apartment 101: vote 4 (bad smell, humidity, room without windows to the outside, muffins on the walls - which I solved with the candeggine, old and dirty sofa bed that I completely covered with sheets, Spartan furnishing, but as in photos)

Advantages and Disadvantages

The structure climbs the hills of Marina de Campo in the countryside and away from the services. The road to the residence is more of a mule than a road and therefore more suitable for a jeep than a sedan. The place is panoramic but full of 'tiger' mosquitoes. The appointments are quite fatiguing in the facilities (cooking floor, refrigerator, washing machine,...).

Sometimes appearances aren 't everything.

First of all, you come on horseback, because the paved road is so unstable that you leave us the semi-axis (if you think we are three kilometers from the sea)..the two-storey apartments and arranged for four where, either you paid for the air conditioning or you arrange yourself because there are not even two shovels on the ceiling, at night keeping open is unthinkable because the mosquitoes are big and bad as angels of death so that getting to the dawn is a mission. They write that the apartments have the dishwasher but it's a scam and meanwhile at all hours of the day the water goes out in the form of tears we're doing the shampoo down to the beaches deserving of payment. WiFi is a catch for the people here doesn't take a pipe but the pool is rather dirty every day.

I'm not going to tell you.

We stayed in a large, essential, comfortable, adequately equipped, very clean double room. Panoramic position about 5 minutes' drive from Marina de Campo. Supermarket with parking 3 minutes (by the airport). Those looking for peace and tranquility here find it. I emphasize the availability and courtesy of Luisa and the other person present. Excellent quality/price ratio. It is worth a nod that the Residence offers free parking in the center of Marina de Campo (it is not little, I assure you!). The wifi does not work inside the apartments, but in common areas such as the pool. We were really satisfied and the Residence Le Solane will be our first choice when we return to Elba Island!

A panoramic location and peace of mind

We stayed in August. The place is very nice, secluded, quiet, you enjoy a beautiful view, but the apartment we were staying in had a bathroom with the limits of the capacity: not only old, full of moisture and mold, but with a malfunctioning plumbing system that allowed sewage to leak out on the floor, forcing us and the children to replace the plumbing to get in and, most importantly, intoxicating the apartment air with a terrible sewage stench. We didn't stay in the other apartments, operated, I think, by other owners.

Nice place, but the place wasn't comfortable.

We had a great time with two children...a comfortable position to move around every day to different beaches...beautiful swimming pool overlooking the sea...silent place (the loudest noise is our 8-month-old crying in the night) We recommend it!!!

Have a good vacation.

When we go to Elba we often rely on the attentive and refined care of Luisa who also this year did not disappoint us by proposing us the residence Le Solane. Located in a hilly area above Marina de Campo with a wonderful view. Ideal apartment for a family. Terrace with sea view. Pool with gazebo. Reserved parking. Just 5 minutes from the beach. Quality/price ratio really excellent. If there was also an air conditioning system I would have given all 5 stars but still recommend this residence for tranquility, for the location and for the quality/price ratio.

Really nice vacation.

Very nice structure, well maintained, in a strategic position to visit some of the most beautiful beaches of the island (Fetovaia, Cavoli, Biodola), all reachable in a few minutes. Absolute peace both day and night, at the limit you can only hear some small tourist aircraft arriving or leaving from the nearby airport. Apartment (the 103) bi-local large, very clean and very fresh (the air conditioning would be superfluous), with excellent access including the mosquito nets.
