The B&B is located in a peripheral area with no attractions. If you're a tourist like me and my wife and you don't have private transportation, it's very difficult to get to and you're very exhausted. It's an ideal place for a young couple looking for privacy. Maybe a couple who don't want to have sex in a car or have little money to go to a hotel can go there and find affordable prices and a clean bed. But a tourist absolutely not...

Too isolated in a peripheral area with no attractions

The apartment is very clean, although the building is not in good condition. Mimma waited for us, who was very kind and generous: she also gave us a ride in the car. Recommended for those who are not interested in crutches, but the saddle: cleaning, price, a good bed and a shower. There is also a living kitchen, which we did not need.

Cost-effective, clean and hospitable

I was in this B&B with my girlfriend and I was fine. The owner was very kind, he picked us up at the station and took us to the B&B, he explained everything there was to know. I was pleasantly impressed by Castellammare di Stabia, which is a beautiful town. Since they reopened the beach it has become an incredible city.

It's perfect.

I booked a single room using Booking.com. I was contacted by the owners saying they would pick me up from the station which I thought was very kind. However when I arrived I can see why. 

There is nothing on the outside of the building to indicate that there was anytthing at the location. There was a list of occupants on an intercom pad, which didn't work, it said BB Irene written in felt tip pen. 

The entrance lobby was not even plastered and there was some dodgy looking wiring to the stair well lighting. There was of course no recepetion. There was no fire alarm, smoke alarm or fire escape.

When inside I was shown to my room which was a double room and they charged me an additional 8 euros per night. They had put someone else in the single room. Then I found out it was not actually a B & B but an apartment converted into two lockable bedrooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen. I was told I could make my breakfast in the kitchen. 

The bed was ok but I was disturbed by an ant walking across the bed sheets. The next day I tried to prepare myself a hot drink but there was no kettle and there was no gas in the propane cylinder so I couldn't even boil a pan of water. I phoned the landlord who checked it was empty but didn't bother to replace it. He did find the plug to the single electric hob after much searching under the kitchen units. 

The following day a real disaster occurred. I went to toilet in the morning but the sliding door to my room locked behind me. I was therefore locked out my room in my underclothes and with my phone and keys in the room there was no way I could get help. I am also hard of hearing and my hearing aidw were locked in the room. I searched through the apartment and found an old track suit and a pair of slippers. I then knocked on the door of the neighbouring apartment taking care not to let the outer door lock. Unfortunately they didn't know the landlord's number. I then remembered I had e mailed the landlord so if I got access to a computer I could e mail him. I tried the neighbour again but they had no computer. Fortunately they had a visitor who knew the Landlords number and he telephoned the landlord. 

I have to say the apartment was OK as far as cleanliness, showers etc. It was in a very deprived area and there were numerous derelict buildings close by. One of the attractions of this place was that it was near Ponte Della Persica staion but the station was not accessible as they had closed the bridge across the rail and motor way so I had a 20 minute walk to Pioppaino station.
