The B&B is located in the historic center of Matera, within the Caveoso Sasso, and as such is only reachable on foot. The nearest parking is 10 minutes from the Sedile arch and from there you reach the structure via a rather steep staircase but walkable in peace. Our double room was quite small but cozy with the bathroom obtained directly from the tuff. The cleaning is good and the availability of Giuseppe, the owner has allowed us to solve almost completely even the problem with the bathroom boiler. The breakfast is served in the ground floor that falls directly on the Sedile cave, giving a very pleasant panelling both in the morning and, especially, in the evening. The breakfast is also simple and genuine, with homemade cakes, fresh cornet and cornet.

Strategic location, two steps from downtown and great to feel embraced by the Sassi atmosphere, functional, well-maintained apartment, terrace with breathtaking views of the Caveoso Sasso, breakfast overlooking the Sassi is simply charming, Giuseppe very hospitable and available.

Matera is just magic. It surprises you at every turn and at night it's just charming, magical.

A fantastic location with a beautiful view of the Cave Rock, very cozy structure and excellent and abundant breakfast, very kind and super available owner, it was a great experience, super recommended!

Discovering Matera on the Roofs

We stayed in this hotel for a romantic night in Matera. Leaving the car out of the center is a ten minute walk. Giuseppe, the owner, is very kind and immediately welcomes with great professionalism and enthusiasm and explains to you, beyond the spaces and services of the bnb, what to see or visit in the city.

It's worth it!

The b&b is in a spectacular location, in the historic center of Matera. The apartment is very spacious and is really typical. Value added the terrace that has a spectacular view, on which Giuseppe serves breakfast, neat and abundant. (he asked us the day before if we had preferences and the cornetts were excellent).

Perfect place to stay.

Located inside the Caveoso Rocks, the BB offers more than one reason to visit Matera and stay in this beautiful city, spacious room with bathroom but above all two terraces where besides having a good breakfast prepared by Giuseppe, for photographers, there are two excellent panoramic places on the rocks of Matera. However, I did not give the 5 stars because, the owner Giuseppe did not prove very collaborative in helping us with the luggage.

Pleasant bed and breakfast saxy

Nice b&b located in the limestone but easy to reach on foot from the seat square even with a couple of trolleys (Matera is all a stair climb and is obviously closed to traffic). Owner very available, prepared and attentive to the needs of the customer. Room not luxurious but nevertheless nice, very clean and equipped with all the comforts, as well as the spacious bathroom. Not to mention the wonderful view that you have from the terrace where you make (an excellent) breakfast and that is for the use of the customers of the b&b. I would definitely recommend it!

A pleasant stay

An apartment in the historic center in the typical stone dwellings. wonderful breakfast terrace overlooking the Caveous Rock, the oldest part of the city. the manager is kind and gave us all the necessary information

Delicious b&b in the heart of Matera

Found splashing the internet, this b&b is a wonderful corner inside Matera, clean, quiet furnished with taste. Guests Giuseppe, a boy of a warm cordial and kindness. Sweet salty breakfasts sitting on the terrace with priceless view on the cave rock in short what to say 5 stars?... think of returning is the best star.

A wonderful corner

We stayed in three people in the apartment of the building. The apartment is very nice and equipped with all the comforts. There is no air conditioning, but despite the 40 degrees outside that day we slept without problems and we did not feel the lack of the air conditioner. The breakfast with views that the B&B offers is not to say fabulous and the owner was very available giving us various suggestions on what to visit, where to park and how to get to the building. Once in a lifetime it is worth sleeping in Matera and choosing the B&B Gradelle Pennino you can only be satisfied
