The flavor was retro of a villa on the sea, with palm trees and figs of Indian origin. An elegant retreat for those who want to hear the sound of the waves and breathe the sauce. Ancient furniture that creaks with fascinating suggestion. Majestic pine trees that filter the wind and the Argentario in front. A ladder that leads to the sea. Perhaps I should say no more, so that I could enjoy it in the future with blessed egoism! Special.

Fantastic retreat

A residence of old times, which combines the beauty and nature and the kindness of hospitality. A corner of serenity and relief. A place immersed in the green (between sea and palm trees) and at the same time close to beautiful towns. Good sea-rock solution or drainage and umbrella. Charming Bengodi beach, which opens on a blue sea. Beautiful and quiet rooms, friendly staff.

Scent of sea

In June I spent a week in this magnificent old villa: in a park full of palm trees, agaves, flowers, there are bunk beds and sun loungers to rest or sunbathe; in front of you, in all its beauty, the Gulf of Talamone opens; you can go down to the sea (rocky) in two minutes, and there is a lawn with umbrellas and bunk beds; the villa is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and at the disposal of the guests there is a very useful common kitchen, with a refrigerator.

Magnificent Ancient Village on the Sea

We stayed in this beautiful villa by the sea where Mrs. Rodica welcomed us and the nice Anna served us breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable. The only thing new was the lack of access to the sea hampered by several large rocks. It would be enough a ladder to make the garden more interesting.

A beautiful villa without a beach

This place is true magic, services are limited but that is what makes this place feel like your own home. We even had the chance to cook on the bbq and enjoy the amazing views. Thankfully we did not need A/C but that could be a problem for some people. Ask for the "Garage Room"...simply magic.

Exclusive and Beautiful

We had booked a room in Villa Bengodi for 3 nights and then spontaneously extended the return journey to 2 nights on the spot - that really says it all!:) For us, the accommodation was the perfect place to relax and take trips around the country. Of course, a car is a necessity to explore the region, but also to go out for dinner at night. Theoretically, you can walk from the villa to Talamone, but we found the return journey not particularly desirable at night (e.g. in the dark overland) The accommodation itself has 6 rooms, all spacious and tastefully furnished. Three of them are located directly to the sea (some of which are English beaches, some of which are a few small beaches), and three of which are close to the beaches.

Lovely villa.

Villa Bengodi is a family run small hotel with beautiful park at sea front.Views are magnificent and the location is very peacefull. Beach is not for small children but the swimming pool is under the construction and shoul be ready soon. Hotel has rooms as described on the homepages but there are also three apartments, La Garage has a really nice living room with kitchen (even dishwasher) and fireplace, spacious bedroom and bathroom with shower. Central heating is good during the spring time. We have visited VIlla Bengodi several times and allways felt us very wellcome and the service has been excellent thanks to wonderfull Mariella!

Villa Bengodi e.q. well enjoyed

We arrived very late[ delayed flight] on Friday 3rd October and were welcomed by Katerina who kindly waited up for us. Relaxed breakfast served by the delightful Marie-Ella on the terrace was of a high standard and included fresh fruit/ ricotta and home made jam and cakes, all delicious. There were eggs, cheese, prosciutto and cereal as well.We stayed for 3 nights. In the evenings we explored lovely seafood restaurants recommended by Marie-Ella and Katerina. We hiked in Alberese in Maremma Nature Reserve Park one day and swam at the hotel beach. Be careful as there are rocks and urchins. The second day we took the ferry to Giglio from Porto Stefano, swam in the bay within walking distance on the island and then drove round Argentario. Argentarian roads were very poor so the second half of this drive is not for the faint hearted. there is a sign where the bad bit starts! Stunning scenery. Thank you to all at Villa Bengodi. The free WiFi was off during our stay because of a lightning strike.

A treasure, a real treat of calm homely elegance.

Beautiful faded Tuscan villa set I a wonderful bay with amazing views.
Lovely large room which was extremely clean.
We only stayed one night as we were en route so maybe the hostess didn't tell us anything about the area, grounds etc because if this, but we would have welcomed directions for the short walk into Talamone as described on website as we couldn't find it & had to take the car.
Guests it seems have the run of the house which if were had stayed longer would have probably been nice.
Breakfast was absolutley divine .. The ricotta was beyond delicious, the best I have tasted anywhere.
Would definatley stay again if we were in the area.
