When we arrived we had to wait for two people from the upper level of B and B to come down and open the door for us and it was a coincidence that they came down to find the keys inside and enter. The hospitality was one of the best since in 3 days, we saw the girl not only 10 minutes the second morning for documents and to collect the aunt's fee. Well, to enter we had to wait for two people from the upper level of B and B to come down and open the door for us.

It could have been better.

The accommodation is great! the location is very good and the room was large. the cleaning is great. the breakfast is very good too, besides you can use the fridge if you buy something and need to keep it. Cristina is very nice! and the girl who was going to make the rooms too, another woman's charm. we will definitely repeat:)

B&B Ca' Dor ticked all our boxes, i.e. location, price, only 5 rooms, and just a 5 minute walk from a Water Bus stop on Line 1. Approximately 50 minutes from Marco Polo Airport.  Communication with Christina was prompt and accurate; from the initial directions to the B&B from Marco Polo Airport (including a Google Maps picture tour from the Water Bus stop to the B&B) through to great advice on where to eat and visit etc. A special mention also to Ester. She was amazing and also a mine of great information and tips.  The B&B was run very well indeed. Clean, tidy and a very nice continental breakfast.  Location-wise you will be a 10 minute walk from Rialto Bridge to the South or a 15 minute walk from the Jewish quarter to the North West. At least a dozen restaurants, many many shops, a couple of ATMs, and a small Co-Op supermarket are all within a 5 minute radius. All in all highly recommended if you just want B&B accommodation rather than a hotel.

My only small point worth mentioning was that the shower cubicle was a bit tight, but certainly not a show stopper by any means.

Last-minute replacement for an untimely visit to Venice on paper all fine in practice breakfast nonexistent room furnished with old mattresses and dubious cleanliness, at the request of replacement towels a mirror a kilometer long and telephone interruption of the employee responsible for the structure... so to avoid absolutely x enjoy the visit in peace

Little clean and indiscrete personal

There is noise from the narrow alley outside as people talk and drag their oversized suitcases.  There is noise from the building across the alley.  Noise from the courtyard nearby.  It happens at all times of the night too!  People talking and think they can't be heard.  I guess the windows are just not very soundproof even with the interior and exterior shutters closed, the blinds down.  Breakfast is sugary yogurt and packaged crackers, corn flakes (really!  Kellogg's!!), granola, or bread, fruit.  There is packaged ham, one pkg per room.  The cheese is single packs of Philadelphia Cream Cheese!  No kidding!  There is pod coffee and an electric tea kettle, and a microwave.  The shower is difficult to get into and out of but it has hot water.  The location is good (near Fte Noeve water taxi stop) but the noise makes this place difficult.  We walked around like zombies due to lack of sleep and or interrupted sleep.  The other people staying here were very quiet, its just the next door neighbors, across the alley neighbors and passers by.

Noisy place, bad breakfast but friendly hosts

We were told that the b&b room had problems and so they had hijacked us into an apartment 100m or so away from the b&b. For us there were no problems, in the end it would only be for one night. I can only talk about the apartment having not seen the rooms of the b&b. The structure is really to be fixed, all too vintage, with walls crumbled, so to speak, to be reviewed a lot.

Good location.

I stayed with my wife and our 8-month-old daughter in this 4-room b&b. Very clean, furnished with everything a family needs. Simple but abundant breakfast. I want to emphasize the simplicity, education and immense availability demonstrated from the beginning by the owner Cristina and followed by her co-workers. We felt as if that house were ours. I highly recommend this structure because it is the demonstration that not the stars of a hotel or the aesthetics count, but the staff and atmosphere that make you live in a vacation, not to mention the simplicity and cleanliness of the rooms. Finally, not to mention absolutely, the distance from: the station (15 minutes walk), Ponte Rialto (5 minutes walk) and Piazza San Marco (15 minutes)

The difference with four stars?

We enjoyed a spacious room, comfy bed with clean linen and towels, centrally-located giving easy access to key sites and transport links
The friendly, welcoming staff were able to give us support and advice.

We stayed at this b&b in the bridge de l'Immacolata. Perfect choice: very clean, well-heated room. very quiet, breakfast varies. The owner was very available for every need. The b&b is central, a few steps from Rialto, with a short walk from St. Mark and is easily reachable from the train station. Really recommended for a stay in Venice!
