We stayed three nights in a king room. Staff were friendly and helpful and English was understood and spoken. The room was of a good size, the bed comfortable and the bathroom functional. Internet was fast and free.
Breakfast was a mix of some western and japanese dishes. No fresh fruit, but yoghurt was available. All in all a satisfying experience.
The hotel was within walking distance of the major sites.
Would stay here again.

Clean and conveniently located

Hotel is very well situated near the main train station and offers quite comfortable stay. Personnel is friendly and helpful, but not completely english speaking. Breakfasts are tasty, however options are a bit limited and during the longer stay it can be very repetitive. The pressure of water in the shower was absolutely fantastic! 

Nice location

The room and the service are spacious, uncommon in Japan.The staff are very friendly, not only spoke very well English but also spoke very well Spanish.

Very highly recommended.

The hotel is situated almost directly opposite Mito train station and very near lots of restaurants and shopping.  It was also easy walking distance to the old samurai school which was interesting.
The rooms are a little bit old, but the comfort level and cleanliness was fine.
The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly even though their English was very limited.
I would stay there again.

Lovely staff, room comfortable, great location.

I stayed there for a night with my boyfriend and we had a good experience. Excellent service, nice room with everything we needed including a large, comfortable bed and full bathroom. The breakfast was pretty good as it gave us a choice between an american or japanese breakfast. The american one includes eggs of your choice along with meat (bacon or sausage), a salad, a juice and croissants or toast. 

Excellent hotel, would recommend

Our family visited Mito for several weeks in June of 2014.  The hotel had a larger room with a sitting area that accommodated our family of 4 persons very comfortably.
The room was clean, well air-conditioned with a nice bathroom (western style), comfortable beds and a small in-room fridge for drinks and snacks.

The staff were lovely and extremely polite and hospitable. 

The hotel is ideally situated close to the Train Station and prime shopping district.  While it is not a "new" hotel, we were not looking for something overly fancy or flashy.  This hotel made up for it's age with its service, location and comfort.

We would looking forward to staying at the Keisei hotel again.

Keisei Hotel great for extended stay

We stayed in the Keisei for 4 days while visiting friends in Mito and were pleasantly surprised with the size of the room/beds and the location, which was excellent - right opposite the station and a multistorey mall with excellent restaurants, food courts and depato. The staff were friendly and courteous (despite an initial hiccup when we discovered that we couldn't use our visa debit), and there was wifi available in the lobby, although not sadly in the standard twin room we reserved. It was a good hotel though and good value at around £80 a night for a big twin (booked through expedia).

Very nice inexpensive and convenient location

The rooms, spacious enough to be Japanese, need an urgent renovation. In Europe, there would be no more than 2*. WiFi connection is lacking in the rooms. You can only connect by cable or with wifi in the lobby. Limited and repetitive breakfast. Attentive and friendly staff. It has free parking.
