Hotel away from the shinkansen station, in August and with the suitcases made us eternal!! But it's next to Nara Park with all the temples to visit and the main street with all the restaurants and shops. At the reception they don't speak English but we understand each other no problem. They weren't especially friendly, very dry, but we don't need to talk to them either. Four-bedroom with two bedrooms. Large for Japanese standards. It had two zones, one with the beds and one for storing the backpacks. Tatami on the soft and new floor, very comfortable. The walls are made of rice paper, but the buses are very quiet, but if you touch a loud noise, you can't get away with it. Two-bedroom accommodation, two-bedroom accommodation.

Guesthouse life with an excellent price and very spacious rooms

The place is very near of the Nara park, where you can find a lot of people feeding the deers (watchout your fingers, maps or bags could be bitten;) ) and the famous Tōdai-ji Temple, house of the big Buddha. The shower was a little unconfortable, it was old, the water was not hot as could have been expected and you have a time limit (and the towels you had to rent was from other hotels). It's the cheaper place we have found, it could be better, but it's good enough

Japanese kindness in old place

I can't give this place a bad review because of the japanese feel it has and the nice service. Yet, the rooms are small and some don't have any windows, everyone shares 2 showers and toilets and the room doesn't look nice and has a weird decoration. The host however was quite nice so credits to him

It's a cheap hostel, in a great central position in Nara, the bed isn't very comfortable and the cleanliness leaves a little to be desired, the bathrooms are small and not too clean, so let's say it's okay if you have to sleep in and leave the next morning, no more.

Cheap hostel, nothing special

It was amazing: the beds were uncomfortable, the mattress wasn't a mattress, and you could feel the wooden sheets of the bed. The shower was ugly: it was dirty and dirty. It was generally a little dirty everywhere, only to think that the stairs were clean only in the center where you passed... on the sides there was dust! The only good thing is the location: very close to everything to visit in Nara city.

Tiredness wins everything.

Hostel in a spectacular location 100 m from the park of the temples and from the city center. Finish the positive elements, we move to the negatives. Presents a technological toilet (with water per bidet) and a normal one for men and two bathrooms for women throughout the hostel (for about 30 guests). A shower for men (terrible with green tiles sixty years old) and one for women with a metal bathtub type obituary. Two sinks on the first floor and one on the ground floor.

Apart from the location, nothing.

The hotel is about 15 minutes from the train station and has a light price, which you should know if you come with a suitcase. However, there is another station nearby, about 5 minutes away that is very good. The hostel is normal, for one night, no elevator, rent towel and kitchen. We stayed an hour and for the price is fair. On the plus side is that it is close to a very nice park with typical deer, plus it has a lot of life in the adjacent streets.

Nice accommodation, central location, coffee, water and kitchen available with everything you need as utensils, two showers (one male/one female) for the entire guesthouse, potentially a little bottleneck in the morning!

Simple, well-located and enjoyable

The hotel offers an incredible location for a very decent price. In a calm street, with plenty of places for dinner nearby, and could hardly be closer to the sightseeing spots. We had a room with bathroom included. There is a kitchen, always handy if you want to prepare your breakfast. Rooms were traditionnal japanes, but still rather large for japanese standard, and confortable.  

Great location, confortable and reasonable price

The staff was not really experienced and aware of what to do to welcome guests. We had to ask for towels and the receptionist told us that we had to go to another hotel but it was a mistake(they have two hotels 2min away). We didn't have hot water for the shower. It seems that you can't have shower at the same time with too many other guests. 
The positive point is the location, the typical Japanese room style decoration.
