Echternach

The hotel occupies a central position just off the main square in Echternach. The rooms while quite basic are very clean and fairly spacious. Beds are comfortable, plenty of hot water for the shower so the stay was very comfortable. Breakfast has a reasonable selection of food, hot options are scrambled egg and sausage.

There is no car park facility available adjacent to the hotel and free parking options have become more limited due to development in various parts of the town, however there is a good free car park on Rue des Benedictins about 10 minutes walk from the hotel.



Good option for central Echternach

We loved our stay at Le Petit Poete. The location on the town square was ideal. The hotel is beautiful and spotless. The proprietors are a very friendly and accommodating multilingual young couple ... who even arranged for the staff to do our laundry. And we were pleasantly pleased at the reasonable room cost. Highly recommend.

Excellent in Every Way

We were in this hotel and for one night it's going to be - more time I wouldn't spend there though. The mattresses have seen better days. The lighting in the room and bathroom is poor, reading at night is not possible with this flashlight. There's no extra light over the bathroom mirror, you can't make up. But what bothered me most was that I registered the missing fountain in the room at night and went to the reception. There they told me: no problem you can borrow a shower I'm here from 6:00.

For one night...

We loved the cleanness and calmness of the facilities, and the friendliness of the owners and staff. They even helped me by repairing my bike (flat tire): on a holiday, when nothing else was available. I am forever grateful! Excellent location and the best for bikers on the move! ❤️

Hotel very well, clean and pleasant proper room The hotel is located at the beginning of the pedestrian walk and has the centre of the old town affordable price, breakfast included I recommend to nature lovers

Night rest for a weekend of hiking

We went to Echternach for an overnight stay to do a couple of days of hiking.  The Le Petit Poete is well-located in the town square and offers ready access to the hiking trails.  The room was comfortable, clean and at a fair price.  The most pleasant surprise was our dinner in the restaurant--perhaps the best trout we've ever had--simply prepared, but to perfection.

Excellent option for an overnight

Hotel is perfectly situated in the very center of Echternach. The staff is very friendly.
Room was a bit small and very dark; more light would definitely be needed if staying more than one night. Also the furnishing could be improved. Other than that everything was very clean and suited the basic needs for a short stay. Breakfast was very limited but of good quality.

Fairly priced layover option in the middle of Echternach

The rooms (we had booked two double rooms and one single room) were clean and furnished appropriately. All the rooms were very quiet (despite the very central location) due to the soundproof windows. A hairdresser gets on demand! The breakfast is not very varied but at two nights is not a problem either. On demand we got extra bread. The coffee and the O-juice are ok. The staff is very friendly. Walking shoes need to be removed in the hallway.

Completely sufficient for hikers, cyclists and weekend tourists

I stayed in this Hotel located on the main square of the city centre. Room with a little dated but well maintained furnishings. Very large bathroom but with shower, despite the abundant space, with difficult access. No parking availability but it is free with a small walk, and access to the limited area in the evening/night time. Check in gently but a little slow, following, the supervising staff, also the management of the bar and the very frequented restaurant.

A little dated structure in the center and a noisy room.

Booked at very short notice as another had let us down. Locked up!! 
Comfortable good value room and excellent restaurant serving good French food in German quantities! 
Friendly and welcoming. Situated in the town square of a delightful historic town.
