We spent 2 nights, half boarded up, in this beautiful Kasbah, with the family. The building is extraordinary, very well-kept and beautifully decorated. The staff is very attentive to you and adorable, the breakfast and dinner are delicious! However, prefer the rooms with an outdoor window, you will feel like in a tale of one thousand and one nights! The living room is an airy, very beautiful, relaxing room in hot weather, we took mint moulds from it!! The pool was not usable when we were there due to drought-related water restrictions on the whole region... but whatever! We would return to the shadow without a doubt!! One of our most memorable places on a trip to Morocco.

Charm and warm welcome

This is the largest and most visually impressive Kasbah we stayed in, which dominates the view as you approach village of Oulad Othmane. The current owner is the latest generation to own this impressive building which has been renovated and converted into a hotel in recent years. The building is still authentic with a tunnel entrance at ground floor level.

The usual welcoming mint tea was served on the roof terrace which provided views to the large oasis on the opposite side of the road. A tagine was served in a large dining room on the upper floor. Dinner is eaten sat on cushions on the floor surrounded by authentic wall hangings and handmade rugs. 

A basic Moroccan breakfast was served on the roof terrace. Friendly and attentive owner and staff make this place well worth staying at. Before we left the owner took us to his vegetable fields at the far end of the oasis which meant a pleasant and unique walk.

I disliked the following:

1) The bathroom is rather small with a thin wall, which allows all sounds penetrate into the room. 

2) The staff cannot speak English at all; the owner makes no attempt to speak English.

3) The local mosque is adjacent to this Kasbah; so at 05:00 o’clock you will be woken up by a call to prayer from the mosque speaker which is directed directly at the Kasbha’s bedroom windows.

An impressive kasbah, however some Europeans may find it lacks comfort

A lovely Kasbah with a nice little pool, very warm welcome, and their cook is a real magician, I have NEVER tasted a better Tagine or a better Berber omelette. Thank you very much to the chef.

Very good cooking

Ripped off. I bought 2 coffees from the cafe and the man gave us 65 MAD change from a 200 MAD bank note. In short 2 coffee costs 135 MAD / 12 euros. I don't come on vacation to argue with dishonest shopkeepers but I will leave a review to warn others. Tour companies to zagora should not stop here

Dishonest coffee shop - buyer beware

Kasbah Oulad Othmane is a beautiful hotel. The house is a very old Kasbah full of history but with modern comforts. Next to the house there is also an oasis, and walking in the oasis is the quietest experience of my life. We had the chance to travel to Morocco in May after receiving the vaccine and they welcomed us with open arms. The recommendation is to stay completely. Dois! Yes Yes Yes Yes! Kasbah Oulad Othmane is a magnificent hotel. The house is an old Kasbah with history but it has modern comforts. Next to the house there is an oasis too, and walking in the oasis is the most peaceful experience of my life. We were lucky to stay in Morocco after getting the vaccine and they really recommend traveling with open arms.

What an oasis!!!

Oulad Othmane is an idyllic place located on a palm grove, not far from a stream. The rooms are tastefully decorated in the typical landscape style. There are single to multi-bed rooms with connected baths. A pool is available and the upper terrace offers a great view of the surroundings. The highly educated and friendly owner is happy to help with wishes and ideas for accommodation. An educational guide through the palm plantations, surrounding places or even the organizations of tours to the desert is very much in the offer, which is only a small exhibition. After breakfast and lunch appointments can be arranged. I will be able to rent a nice and friendly car. I can get a good view of the house and the surroundings of the palace, and I have been very pleased to see the house and the people who have come to visit me.

Wonderful place with a good feeling factor

A magnificent Kasbah carefully renovated. A warm and sincere welcome. A typical and well-maintained hotel. Thank you again to our host for the donkey walk in the palm tree at sunset. We loved our stay!

It's a fantastic place out of time.

Este Kasbat is located at Pasar TInzouline in the direction from MHAMID to Ourzazate in Zagora, from a distance it is visible by its appearance as embedded in the terrain, impressive, on entering we find a reception where the receptionist teaches us and indicates that it is a family of the former owners (descendants), who are rehabilitating and reforming it into a hotel, where it was built to house the local leader and as a defense when the city was under attack, decorated in a typical Moroccan form, it seems to be well, but partially rehabilitated, on the staircase leading up to the rooms we find that the inhabitants of the walls that intersect, but have no dirty appearance, are located in the post office, and the surrounding environment, but a limited variety of insects, pleasant taste and scent.

TIPICO and MUY SENCILLO are typical.

This Kasbah ist just a dream on the way through Morocco’s south! Super clean, great homemade meals and so unique rooms! Also the owner is super friendly and the pool great to chill at! We love to come here! 

The perfect Castle to stay in!

Very stylishly decorated old kasbah; extremely cozy, with a beautiful terrace and fantastic views of the oasis and the spectacular mountain world. Very friendly staff; although we could not stay overnight because we had booked somewhere else, we enjoyed the friendly tour of the kasbah with tea at sunset. Very recommended - simple, but with a lot of authentic charm.
