Errachidia

We stopped over at this lovely roadside hotel en route from the Sahara to Errachidia and although we only spent one night, we were pleasantly surprised. Hosts were incredibly kind and despite the language barrier, we managed to communicate fairly well with each other. We were greeted with fresh fruit, olives and lamb tagine and our host very kindly washed our clothes before we departed for Errachidia airport early the following morning.

Although we were only there for one night, it was here we experienced the most genuine kindness whilst backpacking in Morocco. Aside from the clean rooms and amazing hospitality the palmeraie itself was beautiful and provided a lot of green space for a peaceful walk, nice shade from the palm trees and garden chairs to sit while drinking mint tea. 

I cannot thank these amazing people enough and I am so sorry it has taken this long to put a review up. This hotel is highly recommended and thank you for hosting my partner and I.

Homely and welcoming

On the whole road between Fez and the desert, here is a good address for staying overnight. The bedroom and the rooms are simple but clean. The 2 living rooms where the dining room is very warm with all its carpets. We had dinner in the Berber living room. The meal was delicious. Ahmad, the manager of these places is a very hospitable, helpful and very affectionate man, who loves to tell us about his life and his region. A very beautiful person. The + is the garden that gives into the palm tree where we loved to stroll. The - is the proximity of the road (quiet at night) I recommend this address with a good price-ratio

Good address

We spent the Holy Week of 2019, passing through the desert. The great palm grove/Oasis of the Ziz river between rocks and semi-desert mountains is very beautiful. This small hotel on the road between Errachidia and the desert is very cozy, with a very good quality/price ratio. It's simple but very correct, the garden is very cool and cozy to relax and make first contact with the land. The palm grove and crops that the Ziz river allows, virtually everything channeled (in the old way) allows for a very pleasant little excursion. The dinner is very good. Our two daughters never stop repeating with the Harbanira slightly spicy. Ahmed treated us well, and especially our little ones. Thank you Princess Ahmed for everything!

A great place to pass and explore the great palm grove of the Ziz River.

Ahmed's (and his son's) hospitality is exceptional. He's extraordinarily kind and patient. He does everything to make the big and small happy. He takes care of the little ones for us.

Excellent and very welcoming

A haven of peace in the middle of the palm tree. A beautiful setting, a complete change of scenery during our stay. A big thank you to Ahmed for his warm welcome, availability, delicious meals and all the exchanges we could have. Simple, clean and quiet rooms. Very good evening meal and a delicious breakfast in the garden. We feel at home quickly. Possibility of beautiful walks in the palm tree on the advice of the wise Ahmed who knows the area very well. Excellent price ratio. I highly recommend this splendid gite that is unpretentious and traditional. A true oasis of happiness! Thank you!

We are really happy to have opted not to stay in Errachidia and to stay here.
The owner is an example of the best hospitality posible.
Extremely polite, accomodating and generous.
We ate fresh figs and dates from the garden.
Overall the nicest place in Marroco so far.
If you are hesitating about this place, dont!
It has all the conviniences and its extremely clean.

Great place!

This place was great. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Room was cute and warm. If you are looking for technology such as wifi or tv look somewhere else. Bathrooms were clean but nothing fancy. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and garden was breathtaking. Stay here, drink some tea, read some books and relax.

Cute hotel with friendly staff

This gite has a lovely garden where you can relax in the shadow. We got tea there when we arrived. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are simple but with good beds and an immaculate clean bathroom!
The food was served in a traditional furbished room, and both their evening meal (tajine) as their breakfast are very good!
This place gives a very good value for money and we can absolutely recommend it.
A very good place for a stop over on your way to or coming from the Desert.

It's very basic roadside equipment more than a summary but good..Ahmed welcomed us like home with a good tajin and his courtesy.
