A picturesque hotel, extremely clean, fresh and local food, a unique welcome in Morocco. We stayed there on several occasions and never had any concerns about services or accommodation. M'Hammed accepts pets which is not obvious on the journey.

A Memory

We stayed there at the end of February and both the hotel and the owner are great. No big luxuries but BBB (good, pretty and cheap). Everything is clean, there is wifi, hot water... We haven't been cold as I read about other opinions and out there would have been like 5-6o. The owner is an amazing person! Just willing to invite you for tea, call you a taxi or talk about anything or tell you stories of their long trip through Africa! We spent 9 days drinking a lot of tea in Morocco and yours has been the best!

Perfect!

It's a simple hotel but at the same time it has its charm. In the room it's a little chilly but we were immediately fixed the problem with more blankets and a heater. The hotel manager is very friendly and very close at all times. He helps us organize our route for the next day and I recommend where to stay.

Treated me very well.

It's a pleasant step, very simple but so compensated by the warm welcome from the host, Mohamed doesn't know what to do to please us. The cuisine is excellent, seasonal and the breakfast is cozy. Ask him the ballads to do, he knows the area like his pocket... No stars for this little hotel but it's stars full of heart that we left... Thank you.

The hotel manager treated us exceptionally well, let us choose a room, recommended that we do and dine with him, something to be experienced, as he has incredible stories of his travels through Africa.

Everything is perfect!

It's like some of the charming rural tourist accommodations we have in Spain. Mohamed makes us live with him and with his house. We can go to the garden, choose the tomatoes or grapes we will dine on at one of the terraces. Treatment is very kind and is enjoyed by travelers who go with the open mind. The basic bedroom facilities. We must not forget that this is a hostel, with a very cheap price. The food is very cheap. The food is very good and natural. And a great professional and better person. The surroundings have very interesting things about the lake, the gorges of the Todra, an impressive palm grove in front, the sacred Mohamed... very recommended.

Rural tourism in Berber

We spent a wonderful evening at the Hotel Azul with Mohammed. Lovely decorated rooms, a beautiful sunbathing table and a great dinner, as well as breakfast. Since it was very cold at night, Mohammed put a portable gas heater in our room. We would have liked to have stayed another day. Mohammed is very courteous and strives to take care of the well-being of his guests. Thank you!

It's wonderful.

Maybe during the summer days Hotel Azul can be a great option.The owner is very friendly and devoted to the customer. But when the degrees are low, it's very cold in the rooms. Also they are not very clean, and the bathroom doesn't have a door. I would'n recommend to book this place, especially if it's during the winter season.

No heating

We arrived very late at night 9:30 pm.  We were cold and hungry.  The owner set up a space heater and then went on to cook us Berber Omelets.  They were delicious.  He is a talented cook.  He speaks just enough English to make us laugh.  We had a great time, and just enjoyed the quirky charm of Hotel Azul.

One of the most memorable nights in Morocco

It is one of the most hospitable places I've been. The owner is very helpful and kind . He is from the region, and can help you a lot  with what to do in the surroundings. He really treats customers as family. 

Room I stayed in was cosy and comfortable, and had a great price. The hotel has few terrace areas and comfortable common places both inside and outside. 

It is just 5km from the todra gorge, at the coordinates: 31.553484, -5.585634 (as of 2014 October, Google maps show it wrongly) 

The dinner was very good, especially the traditional Berbere soup was amazing. Breakfast included few jams, butter, olive oil and flat bread. 

I definitely recommend this place.
