First of all, in the fine print, at the very bottom of the booking page, literally the last words state that the front desk office is only open from 3pm to 8pm???  I mean who does this?  My flight arrived early and I couldn't even leave my bags there to hold.  Secondly, Their website claims AFAS was only 3.9 miles away, which is not true, it's 45 min away and the only reason why I booked this room was because I thought it was close.  Third, they had no wifi and I could not conduct business on my laptop, and forth, they refused to give me a refund me for a night I wasn't even going to stay there and I lost $80 because I had to book another hotel closer to my job.  I'm surprised their customer service, or lack thereof is that bad.  I'm not very happy with then!!

Misleading website info, save your money for a better place

It was wonderful, mega cool rooms made with a lot of love, super cool staff, we had a fun evening, good wine and little food that tastes good, and when I'm around again, I'll come by again.

Cheese market Alkmaar about 300 meters away, car parking nearby. Small hotel and wine bar, steep stairs to the rooms, might get annoying to the church's building.

Good downtown hotel

Since more than a month, and after provide to the hotel management all the information that they have requested, we have not received the refund for the breakfast boxes that they promise but didn't gave us. We do not recommend this hotel.

Very Bad Hotel

The rooms are located above the restaurant bar. The bell of the church located less than 100 meters away plays its melody every half an hour and all night... there were earplugs on the night table... we understand why... we went for a walk all afternoon returning to our room.

Great food,great wine and friendly staff. Serving a combination of very good and sophisticated food. The owner and his son are very knowledgeable when it comes to wines and know which spices to combine with which wines. To top it off they are friendly and in for a laugh.

This is really not a pleasant experience. I would not recommend this for anyone. First of all I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come and open the hotel! I had even called in advance to advice on my arrival. Breakfast is only served at 8.30 so I get some bread and pastry the day before!! How exciting is that? And In my room no plates, no knife, no coffee.....Thanks. And no one to contact. 
I strongly recommend to go to other side for the Grand Hotel instead....

Since we wanted to go to the cheese market on Friday, we booked a room from Thursday to Friday. For this purpose, too, the hotel is ideal. Within five minutes, you're already at the cheese market. Since it's my way of evaluating hotels on a point-to-point basis, I do that for the High5 hotel, of course: > Hotel location: in the middle of the old town....just great! > about 50 meters. From the hotel to the parking lot Debli Vest at the horse market, you can get there via the canal gate. > Rooms: clean but above all unusually positive. > Service: very friendly and helpful. > Breakfast: absolutely ok for us.

Who rolled the cheese to the station?

Booked into this appartment very last minute with daughter and friend. It was attic appartment with separate bedroom and then a kitchenette and wetroom and a lounge area with another bed in it. Was very spacious and quirky with everything you could want including fridge microwave and very well equipped. Breakfast was included with various breads cheese meats and other items kept us going till lunchtime. Friendly staff and would recommend!

Only thanks to police support could we find ourselves in the confusion of one-way streets. Our Navi was not fit for this growth. On the ground we had to find out that this was around, say, a design hotel. The young chef who worked in the kitchen welcomed us very kindly and kindly. Even our luggage was brought by him to the rooms. After a short look we decided to stay and should not regret it. Everything is unusual, but it fulfills its purpose and has a lot of charm. So you can find a price tag in many places, so everything is affordable. A large canister serves as a garment care. The shower and the bathroom could not be very modern, with two small German TVs. WLAN, but we want to stay and not regret it. A good experience with two rooms, a coffee shop, a good experience with a good coffee shop, a good experience with an average of 100 people, and a very good experience with a very clean kitchen.
