Please do not stay here.Terrible value for money.Only positive is the location in central Amsterdam.You need to be buzzed in to the hotel by a member of staff in cafe next door before using your key to enter hotel.The room was like a sauna even in November,the fan provided to counter that was very loud,so could not sleep.Large step in to the bathroom is dangerous when dark so very dangerous, particularly for older people.Television was not linked to Ariel,therefore did not work but that was not important.
  Falsely advertised as having a bar,a breakfast area & restaurants but those are attached to the building separately & have no bearing on hotel therefore costs more money.
  Hotel asked for 50 euros deposit up front in case remote control was damaged,( but TV wasn't set up at all) or key for room was lost.
  Amsterdam was fantastic but will never recommend or visit this hotel ever again & would advise to avoid at all cost.

Avoid Old Bridge Hotel & Restaurant by

You get what you pay for, room basic but bed comfortable. Steep staircase to climb. Staff and boss very helpful and friendly, let's  have a late check out and we're very accomodating. Very central location.

Staff friendly. Central location 

The hotel and the room were very nice. We got three local rooms. The beds are clean and comfortable, we slept well after a long road. Everything in the room is good, you can eat next door at the cafe. You have to get a little comfortable. But we didn't have any problems. The stairs are very narrow and steep, but for houses like this, it's okay. Great view from the window to the river. Great choice of comfort and budget.

It's a great cheap room for Amsterdam.

I don't have any complaints about the room itself because it was pretty good, the problem was the cold in it, besides there was no elevator. so if you're carrying large suitcases or someone with leg problems, I recommend not going. also one drawback that I see is that whenever you enter the hotel you have to tell the bar attendant to open you up.

HOTEL FRESQUITO is located in the heart of the city.

Our plane got cancelled, we couldn't fly the day we booked the hotel. I paid extra to be able to cancel if something like that happens, and yet the hotel refused to issue reimbursement, even a partial one. And yet, they didn't need to clean the room,so at least that part could have been reimbursed. But no, the greed, disdain and insensitivity to other humans' misadventures were well too obvious at the reception. Ironically, the owners seem to be immigrants themselves, so one would expect understanding for stranded travelers. Well, let me tell you - don't count on that.

Greed and lack of compassion

We were in room 22...a triple room. Pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews. Check in not very welcoming but probably difficult due to not understanding English, although we were early so he let us store bags. Room absolutely fine, looked newly painted. Plenty of hot water and heating. Beds clean. Amazing location. Great if you're on a budget. Steep stairs but all seem like this in Amsterdam. 

Good for money

Given the value of the space, everything works perfectly. The wifi was fine. The shower was perfect. The bed was a luxury, very good mattress. The pillows were excellent and the couch was very good. It sleeps very well. We stayed on the third floor with which we had an excellent view of the canal. The room was clean but we ordered a refreshment to the bathroom and they did it without a problem, so it was under a star. Everything else was excellent.

Excellent quality/price ratio

Without words, you can't call it a hotel... it's horrible, dirty I don't know how it still does and being open something like that... the only good thing is the location then x the rest we forget... we spent 3 nights here just because we had already paid for it and not little) but you only came back to sleep.

We booked the hotel on booking.com as it looked very nice from the inside pictures and looked quirky when we got there we seen the outside we thought it looked as it the pictures described it, we couldn’t check in as it was to early we left our bags in like a basement kitchen area which wasn’t great! 

We came back after the VIP Heineken experience which was great, we got our keys and remote headed upstairs it’s a spiral staircase very tight and if anyone has heavy cases going up to the 3rd floor it’s a nightmare! We got into our room to find no curtain on the widows and found the shower as you can see anyone around 5ft 8 would struggle to get in I’m 6ft 2 so my head was touching the ceiling in the shower, it was covered in mould completely black and best of all no heating it was freezing we asked 3/4 times with no heating still no views as it says on booking.com you have a building in front of you and the side and have around a foot of space between them put it this way you wouldn’t know if it was day light or dark! For the price you can deffo get better I would stay away from this place and give it a miss! 

I had to stump up a nights stay for the pleasure of being in the room for 2 hours if that! My advise use the double tree across the road for a extra 45 pound that’s what we did!

Hotel with no heating, no curtains and mould

Great location, room was spot on, staff were mint, friendly, helpful nothing to much, and the food downstairs was bang on, definitely stop again. Shop next door for all you need, steakhouse, and train station over the road. Spot on, could not fault it
