A rather high-end youth hostel with a fully equipped (and clean) kitchen, plenty of showers, furnished sheets, washing machine and dryer open to the public.

Very good hostel for young people

We stopped at this hostel in Honnningsvag, waiting for the road to the Northern Cape to be opened. Good welcome, essential rooms but warm, kitchen equipped. A special thank you to the receptionist who was very kind and gave us precise and appreciated information to reach the timely departure of the convoy heading for the Northern Cape.

Good experience

It is a comfortable hostel for those who want to visit Caponord, as it is about half an hour away. You might need a refurbishment but overall, to stay only one night is more than good.

On the road to Caponord

Location:
Conveniently located ca 3 km away from the Honningsvåg city center. You can walk there or get there within 5 minutes by car or bike. It’s neighboring the E69 highway, which does not matter noise-wise as there is very little traffic. 

Living:
The quarters are simple but sufficient. We had a double room with 2 single beds. There was even a closet and a small desk. Room temperature is controlled by the guest (standard element)
There is breakfast for 75 NOK (2019), which is quite good. 

Amenities: 
Self-serve kitchen with all necessary equipment including a fridge. Showers were clean. Same goes for toilets. Everything is a tad old but functional nonetheless.  

Staff:
This is where this establishment truly shines. Staff was beyond helpful and customer satisfaction is lived here. Need a coffee? No problem! (free). Forgot to buy salt, they’ll help you out. 

Tldr:
Excellent place to stay and fairly priced. Could do with some renovations but everything works well. Staff is exceptionally friendly and engaged.

Perfect stop before reaching north cape. Staff excellent, good location, value unbeatable.

It’s the cheapest option to stay close (25km) to the North Cape. We had a double room, and it was nothing fancy, but we slept good. Toilets and showers were rather clean, so had a good stay over here. Breakfast is also quite decent!

Tip: we went to visit the North Cape in the early morning (before 7am) and were among the very few first people around there. Had the place all for ourselves and got the best pictures we could have wished for. And got back to the hostel in time for breakfast.

Decent hostel

Let's assume that it's one of the closest to the mainland, and so its strength is its location, and from the outside it looks like a barracks/school, and the interiors are dated, and the small rooms with the inner sink remind me a bit of a prison, and I've also had a stained sheet, so let's say you can do it for one night.

To the headmaster

Great for the last night before hitting the Nordkapp (you can go very early and drive your bike all the way up to the globe). Small room but clean. Shared toilets and showers. Very helpful staff. Cheap for Norway... I will use it again

Basic hotel with fantastic staff

It's always warm, clean, cozy and full, a very hospitable hostess, always helpful, always suggestive, stayed there twice, everyone likes it, the best place to stay on a trip to the North Cape.

a structure that would need a renovation, with few amenities (one bathroom per hallway, one small, common kitchen), located at the end of the city.

The hostel is perfectly located to get to the North Cape. The staff were friendly and gave us information about the area. We had a double room on the first floor, the beds are nothing special. The room was large and perfect for a night.
