This place is a balancing act between very good security, excellent staff and fun communal areas for ping pong or just hanging out and spartan rooms with some cleanliness issues. The surrounding neighborhood is also not the greatest. If you only need a basic room, this is an acceptable trade off. Particular mention must go to the lovely ladies staffing the front desk, who went above and beyond in assisting to retrieve a misplaced mobile.

Middle of the road

First thing, their wifi service is excellent compared to other nearby hotels! The staff was very accommodating and approachable. The place is very clean too. It didnt feel like a hotel. It has a dormitory vibe type. I've known Elicon House since I used to leave near there during college years.I'm familiar with the place which means it's safer there.Also, I chose to stay there because it was very accessible to some known  places in Cebu such as COLON and STO. NINO CHURCH. You won't have much problem finding  jeepneys( mean of transpo aside from taxi) in that place. If I am to find a place to stay in Cebu it's a sure thing I'd choose it!

Simple and Comfy!

At 10pm, we had to find somewhere to stay for a night and we saw the Elicon House. The staff was very nice, the room was clean and the breakfast was perfect. But the main point of this House is their policy: they work according to certain rules to protect the environment, their family business but also to ban discrimination. If you need to find somewhere to stay and if you care about the environment and local business, then you should definitely come there.

Great stay !

Clean and affordable. Obviously, cycling is the owner’s passion ‘coz bikes are displayed inside the inn. Restaurant is cute and they practiced CLAYGO. But you’re not allowed to bring foods (meals like with rice and dishes) inside the hotel while the restaurant is open from 6AM to 9PM, but you can bring biscuits and any lights snacks. They have free unlimited water, so no need to buy one. Unfortunately, they failed to cater our request for a Large bed and they said that it has been occupied and no available, which i requested a week prior and even called them for it. So, we had triple beds which was fine but it could’ve been better if it’s only 1 Large bed. Nevertheless, the room is big with too many pillows. No problem with their AC, CR is big with big supply of tissues but no shampoo, only soap. TV is outdated but operable. Overall, elicon is way better than any inns in the downtown area.

Good Value for the money

(1) it's in one of the busiest parts of the city but you feel safe inside. (2) The aesthetics are mesmerizing and (3) the staff are very kind and helpful. But (4) it lacks affordable choices on their menu at the cafe. (5) It was noisy though it's not really a problem since you are in one of the busiest part of the city . (6) TV, Wifi, Hot Water at the shower, and Aircon are faulty. 

I understand (and I am a fan of) the whole energy conservation thing and recycling. I would've like it better if they had a convenience store inside. 

The exterior and interior of the place is eye-catching. The murals and pieces of art left about were fun to look at. 

The cafe is a good place to relax in. But take note, there'll be a national highway outside so it's going to be noisy. 

Vents at the bathroom and hot water needs improvement. 

Air-conditioning units need to be more functional. 

The rooms are pretty dull but comfy to be at nonetheless. 

Need more light fixture. The room we stayed at didn't have a lampshade so it was difficult to turn off the lights before bedtime.

I recommend this type of place for people who are on official quick trips or are just looking​ for comfortable places to sleep in. Just ask for a room that's not facing the highways and you're good to go.

It's easy to ride jeeps, taxis, and even grabcar since it's situated at a corner of a well-known street. There are malls nearby, fast-food chains to choose from, and two 7/11's (one on the left and one on the right, just a 3 minute walk to get on either branch). 

I would get back here on a quick trip if I want to sleep with comfort and safety in a busy city.

Good Service, Nice Place

Centrally located, good priced, stylish eco-hotel with nice wall paintings. It's a pity, that our room was not so nice - maybe just ours.. Staff was nice, hotel is safe, restaurant on site - couldn't try as we left early. 
Directly on the main street with lot of noise. Basic equipment in the room with small bathroom, ok for one night stay.

Good hotel with air conditioning, good cleanliness, atypical but nice decoration, good geographical location, not far from the bar street, enough for a few nights.

Good quality to price ratio

We stayed here as a stopover. We can't expose anything. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is well secured. The breakfast is payable (we had oatmeal & banana - big portion for 95 pesos - and omelette with ham & cheese for 100 pesos, water is free throughout the hotel!). For 950 pesos the double room (with AC) is a really good price for what you get!

Clean, very friendly

A good accommodation, nothing more, a bit expensive compared to the rest of Cebu Island for both minimalist nights and breakfast.

Proper Accommodation

Very nice staff for a nice concept A security guard opens the door, a smiling hostess reserves your room while another accompanies you to take care of your luggage. We didn't ask for that much but it's well seen. Private room with air conditioning very clean and spacious enough for two (1050 php) Monday morning, top breakfast served with a smile = I recommend
