Decent enough hotel. If you have a flight to catch the following day.
Next to the hotel( like 2 min walk ) you can find a good variety of restaurants. There’s few massage places to unwind and relax. Also, a big supermarket inside the mall. Handy enough to get the essentials ( if needed)

Near airport and amenities

I have stayed in this hotel several times. It was conveniently located, a short 1 minute walk to a shopping mall. I stayed in 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017 and yesterday. Over the years the condifion of the hotel seems to be getting worse. The management seriously need to consider renovating the place. The rooms are dirty and smelly especially the bathroom. I had to ask my 8 year old son to use mineral bottled water when he brushed his teeth as I wasn't even sure if the water running on tap are clean or safe even for just brushing teeth or washing face.  
This hotel has a lot of potential. Service was good and the staff are friendly but the condition of the rooms are unacceptable. I will not recommend this especially for those travelling with children. And I will never come back again unless this hotel will do renovation.

Layover in Cebu. 
Bathroom is dreadfully dirty with lots of mildew.
Smell of humidity 
Floor not cleaned properly with hair from previous guests stuck on the floor and wall tiles. 
Room in the basement so no wifi or phone reception
Extremely old and not maintained.
Door of the room is facing a dirty wall where they stack piles of trash. Pleasant when you come out of the room.
Totally depressing. Waste of money. 


Horrible and depressing

Basic transit hotel(or hostel?). Don't expect anything extra aside from the usual. Good location if you're catching an early flight or ferry the next day. Room, sheets and bathroom are clean and the aircon is cold. Just enough for a good night's rest.

No Frills Accomodation

This was the worst place I've stayed in the Philippines. The room was not very clean, some of the furniture was broken, the air conditioner was very noisy, the shower was incredibly weak and we really couldn't get a good night's sleep. 
The description says free WiFi but this is only in the lobby, you cannot access WiFi in your room.
We upgraded to a 'larger' room but the only difference was that the air con was slightly better; there was no difference in size or condition from the first terrible room we were given.

Only pro is proximity to the airport

I picked this not nice hotel for my friends and I to stay in coz their room is big and it would accommodate us 5 for 1 night after partying in Ayala. Upon checking out they asked me to pay php350 pp as the room is only good for 2 people although on their website it says its good for a number of people and there was no mention of extra charges if more than 2 people stays there. If only i have known they would do this i would never have stayed there. Seriously they charge extra!!! Their room actually stinks of roaches esp in The bathroom, their towels even have holes and they dont even have ref!!!! I ended up paying over php3k. I guess it was my fault so serve me right, right?? 
I felt so embarrassed with my friends that i brought them to this so called hotel hahaha. My only reason was because of the size but that bit me in my rear.There were lots of other better hotels around for 3k.

Very misleading advert. Never again!

Hazardous accommodations - when you step out of your room you will hit your head on the air conditioners that they have placed directly at head level. The least the hotel could do is put some padding on the corners of the air conditioning units to be safer for the guests.

The staff also dumps out air conditioner filters over the balcony, raining dust down on their guests. And at night the air coming out air conditioners smell like vinegar and the staff has no idea how to fix this. Wi-Fi connection is terrible and non-existent (the password the staff gives you doesn't even work).

Only positives: it's very quiet in the rooms, there are some big malls and markets within walking distance, and the airport is 5 only mins drive.

Horrible and Hazardous

Island stay hotels Mactan has been our home for the past three Ironman 70.3 since 2016. It’s conviently located near fast food chains to high scale restos offering from street food to Italian fine dining, mini groceries and a mall.   Going to Shangri-La Hotel for the Ironman event can be reached by motorcycle, jeepney, taxi or Grab in just less than 15 minutes.  This hotel is no high end hotel.  Their rooms really need some upgrading and free wi-fi is only avialable in the hotel lobby.  We complained about the shower and the sink that takes forever to drain but why do we always love to return here?  It’s home away from home. From the front desk staffs, room boys, security detail - they are family.  Courteous, helpful and that very contagious warm smile that every one wears here “,) everytime we are here- we are home with family.

One of the worst hotels I've ever visited, no breakfast, no air conditioning, no cleaning, close to the airport but away from everything else, room with a kitchen that doesn't work and Wi-Fi only in the lobby.
