I stayed at this hotel for one night because it is on Mactan. Not much happening around it. You will definitely get the 'local flavor of life' walking around that area. A few ok BBQ places nearby, and a mall within walking distance. Not an area I would go wandering around a lot at night as a foreigner.

Close to airport

Thanks to the Staff who were very good, helped me find places around Mactan and also booked me a grab. Dorm rooms are okay, bathroom is not the nicest. Very good value for money, not far from airport.

What it says on the tin

Obviously the room was cheap but the smell was something else! Especially in the bathroom! It absolutely stunk! And the air con was the loudest I’ve ever heard sounded like an actual plane taking off! The bed sheets had holes in and the blanket they give you for the bed wasn’t even enough to cover one of us nevermind two! Sure you could find better elsewhere! 

Stinks!

I was looking for cheap accommodation near to the airport and found this in Agoda. I got cheap deal of 261 Php/night, just fit to my budget. The room is clean and also the cr and bathroom. I have no issue of the room except of my roommate since I'm in a mixed dormitory room. lol

Very Cheap. Nice Bed.

Not an amazing hostel, WiFi doesn’t work in the dorm rooms and the bunk beds are too close together. There is one toilet/shower room to share with 7 others. You do get a light, shelf and plug socket per bed. Close to the airport and malls. 

Close to the airport 

We stayed here one night as we flew into Cebu late and were flying out the next morning. Its less than 10 minutes to the airport and less than 10 minutes to 2 different malls. We got a private room with 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed with AC and private bath. Cold shower, not hot water. Wifi kinda worked that night, non-existent the next morning. Didn’t see any common area. Our room was ground floor right on the street. Super noisy because of the street noise. Room was ok. Bathroom kinda nasty. Linens seemed damp/humid as did the room, Had to go ask for towels. No breakfast. I forget how much we payed but definitely the only reason to stay here is to be close to the airport.

Cheap and close to airport

Served its purpose for being a cheap stay nearby airport - so great for early morning and late flights. The staff were helpful - they gave us a map and sheet of nearby attractions etc and the price for tricycles etc. Room is what you would expect for this price. No frills. Running water, toilet paper, air con working, clean(ish) sheets.

In my trip MOCHILERO backpack and smile (May 2017) by PHILIPINES, in my stay in Cebu City, my review of the accommodation STOPOVER MACTAN HOSTEL is as follows: General rating: NO APTO! All negative, price quality bad, it's very expensive, WiFi bad, room and facilities too simple, location is incorrect and to finish I ask even two sad pesos, which is shameful.. The bathroom, bathroom, small, dirty, bad shower, toilet toilet toilet and toilet paper, oil!! Very nice common terrace. Bakery, brooch stalls and small grocery stores in the street. Not very large room, medium bed, medium cleanliness, by a small road but poor isolation so noisy. Nauseating smell in the bathroom (unable to take a shower). Friendly staff. Very reasonable budget for its location next to the airport (8 minutes by Uber 75 pesos, driver ordered by the receptionist). Hotel for one night.

Not much of a transit night before a flight.

Nice little hotel, small rooms but clean with a super rooftop we spent just one night in front of a flight, a little difficult to find in small streets, but close to the main street and there's a mall a few hundred meters away to restore it.
