Such an ugly experience with this hotel. First of all the owner asked us to pay in cash instead of ordering in booking, so she wouldn't loose money. We agreed. In booking for the same price breakfast was included.  We asked her if it's included if we pay in cash, and she said : of course.  Tomorrow before 11 breakfast. In the morning she suddenly change her mind and charging us for breakfast! I asked her why do you do this? She said that we didint order in booking and the electricity is too expensive for her. Unbelievable! I took continental breakfast that I had to pay, but she didint have any tea. Only coffee. I asked her if she minds at least I could change to juice since you don't have tea here, and of course she said I don't mind but you need to pay extra. Her daughter or someone serving was so rude, never smile, never communicate just throw the food on the table.  Such an ugly experience. Never would stay there again.  

Ugly people trying to rob tourists 

Nice frame is pretty much the only positive thing. The wait is long and the dishes are really tasteless! The beef burger is made of white meat (?!) We're afraid to discover what's really in it and the shrimp soup doesn't even taste like salt. The only disappointment since my arrival in Port Barton is you'll find much better in smaller, less spicy restaurants.

No taste at all

At the beggining they were really nice offering everything that we asked (breakfast, AC, wifi and good price) because they wanted us to stay there (6 nights) but they changed the conditions afterwards. First, the second day they said that the AC will be charged if we use it, then they gave us a portable wifi that we have to buy a SIM card if we want internet because the place doesn't have. The shower didn't work the first day and they said that it was a problem with the water in the whole town but it wasn't true because we asked to people around and they didn't have any problem at all. Every morning when the owner served the brekkie, was in a very bad way, she didn't even say good morning and she just threw the cups on the table, the brekkie pretty bad and simple by the way. The third day they said that someone is going to clean the room but it didn't happen so we asked the owner and she said (in a very bad way) that it was our fault because we locked the door but how could we know that they have just one key per room? Pretty much the place is dirty, smells like humidity (the bed, sheets, the toilet and the kitchen), but the very worst thing was the rude and unkind attitude of everyone working there.

Very rude people

I chose this place because it had air conditioning in the rooms. Even when the power was on, the AC wouldn't turn on. 

My first night, someone came into my room while I was sleeping and stole my phone and all the cash out of my wallet. The hotel has no guards, no CCTV, doesn't lock their gates, and no insurance for theft. They showed me the police station and basically said 'good luck.'

I was stolen from at this Hotel

We stayed there for one night as a transition between two bookings in other guest rooms. We spent the worst night of our lives there. The bungalows smell the moisture and mold from the nose. Electricity is only available at Port Barton from 6pm to 10pm but usually when you open the window the heat is still tolerable. Here it is impossible to open the windows, condensation was forming on the windows... just horrible, if we slept one hour each night that night that is the maximum!

Get out of here!

This During our five months of travelling we've never fels this 
threatened! Pure intimidation and scam, the hotel lady, owner of scooter rent (nephew of hotel owner) and bamboo restaurant owner. Alright, this is a very long story and I'm really trying to give you a short explanation.

At first the hotel lady and her mom we're super friendly. Her nephew rented scooters, so we rented at his place. We negotiated about the price bc it was early in the afternoon. Eventually we agreed to 400p and agreed to bring back the scooter in the evening.

When we came back at 18u the owner (of the scooter rent) all of a sudden wanted the keys back. We explained we wanted to go out for dinner. 
- we did not arrange a time, the owner was there till 22u and we only rented the scooter for 5,5 hours-. He was already very mad and we didn't know what we did wrong.
After dinner we wanted to pay the owner bc we didn't yet. We kindly explained to him that we want to pay him but not the whole amount because we did not have the scooter in the evening. Because we said that he already walked away mad. Everybody at the restaurant was getting involved except for the owner. We tried to solve the problem but the owner, who is responsible, didn't want to talk. We waited for a very long time for him to cool down and talk to us again, we already tried three times. He didn't talk to us and shouted that we don't have to pay if we don't want to. Again, we did explain that we do want to pay but not the 400p. But, surprise! he walked away, again... We we're pretty done with him.
During the whole conversation his aunt, the owner of the hotel, was super mad as well. She kept coming up with lies about the scooter rent. She shouted. Also the restaurant waitresses we're constantly interfering.

The hotel owner (I think by this time she was possessed by Satan) was so mad and shouted at us. We had to pay her as well for the nights we slept there bc she thought we'd run away in the night. We were pretty done with her and her as well.

Next morning we left early. When my boyfriend walked outside they grabbed his arm and shouted that we had to go to the police. This was pretty intimidating. Again the whole family and restaurant was joining the conversation except for the owner. We again explained our side of the story but we were interrupted every time by the crazy hotel lady. We repeated every time that we DID want to solve the problem, but the guy who is responsible doesn't want to talk to us and walked away for three times. They we're not listening, only shouting that we had to pay 500p, instead of 400. 

Sorry for the long story. I hope that nobody experiences this situation because it was really scary and intimidating. Just stay away from this family and just enjoy your holiday!

Intimidation, scam and lies with this family

Family was at first super friendly but at the end of our stay incredibly rude. There was a lady around 40 yrs and her mom. We're travelling for 4,5 months so we're kind of used to the people and their standards. But this...

The room was SUPER expensive for what it was. Just a very small room with a fan. If you'd like to wake up at 4, this is the perfect place to stay! The dogs and chickens are very very loud. We stayed here 2 nights because the hotel lady was extremely rude and arrogant. 

The restaurant (it's family of the hotel owner) is the food overpriced. The waitresses we're rude and arrogant. On top of that, the kitchen is near the toilets and I saw a rat coming out of the kitchen, so I concluded that the place isn't very hygienic.

This place was complete rubbish

We stayed in Bamboo house for two weeks. Good clean rooms for decent price including breakfast. Staff was super friendly and helpfull. Food in the restaurant was tasty. Nothing to complain. Defenitely will visit again ! 

Best two weeks of our holiday

We went to dinner and we were surprised, the site is very cozy and the prices are quite similar to other restaurants. The attention is very pleasant and the food is good. We liked breakfast less because the bread tasted like bacon.

Calidad price

We stayed for two nights in cabin 1 which had a small kitchen but never had gas. At night the noises and the cockroaches particularly didn't let us sleep. The good thing is that there was a table outside the bungalow where we would have breakfast after being given hot water at the bar. The wifi is bad for us in Port Barton, but this place didn't work for me once in the entire stay.
