Nice hostel, friendly staff, short walk everywhere. Pretty clean place, good beds, didnt get extra pillows tho. :(  Slept with open windows, pretty hot days. Breakfast was awful, went there half an hour after serving start, almoust nothing left to eat. Also you have to do your own dishes. We took cups of instant coffee (!) wich of course we have to make ourself. Good thing we didnt have to walk too far to get some eatable breakfast to get our day started. I could came back, but next time we will walk right away outside and find some breakfast and not count on having brakfast there.

Location was good

A little bit unclean, toilet lid loose, every person that cme in at night woke me up. Very frustrating. The woman on reception was nice though and its not far of a walk into old town. I think this would suit young people who want to go out in the evening.

Before going to Poland for a weekend, I went to this site to see the reviews, decided not to turn around, but to just take a picture of the hostel. I looked at the Old Town Hostel. When I went to Gdansk, I saw it right away. Comfortable. But the expectations didn't come true. At first the neighborhood is still there. Clean ghetto. graffiti, half-destroyed houses, poor people, there's only burning garbage cans. But I'll give you the kind of ghetto-style romance I'm personally in love with.

Something with something.

Located in an area a little out of the way and at night we didn't trust much to turn around. The room was spacious but the cleaning was not a big deal. The bathroom was small and sometimes you had to line up as it was shared by several rooms and the living room/kitchen. I probably wouldn't go back there or if I had to go back I would ask for a room on the first floor because the one where we stayed (basement) had a window that looked out onto the sidewalk that ran along the building.

You could have done better.

Although it is close to the center, the neighborhood where it is located is under construction and does not seem too safe. When you arrive at night the entrance directions are not clear and everything is dark. The room has many hygiene flaws and you can see stains on the bed, curtains... The breakfast is very scarce and unattractive.

Very basic.

Nice hostel with friendly workers. Good and peaceful location, near old town. Price - quality was okay, but the breakfast could have been better, some fruits or juice could be a good add, now it was just some white bread, sugar cereals and some lukewarm sausages.

Nice stay

My daughter and I had to stay in Gdańsk for the night and for the price and reviews I chose this hostel. I'll tell you right away in the hostel for the first time and it seems to have made an impression! Right away plus for 800 rubles from one with breakfast and near the Old Town... great, but to live next door to men in a small room for 8 people - it is beyond my imagination of comfort! Although the underwear was clean and neatly folded on the bed, breakfast, if it was organized correctly, is also quite a toast, cheese, sausage, sausages, oats, pasta, coffee... mainly, to be happy and get what you can!

It was a coincidence!

I was lucky to book a place here as I was travelling on my own to Heineken Open'er Festival. In terms of price and quality this place is the best. Helpful staff, breakfast in the morning is a plus and this special atmosphere to meet someone new. 
You can reach this place by tram number 3 or 8 directly from the railway station that goes to the stop Brama Zulawska. From the same stop you can take tram number 8 and go directly to Jelitkowo Beach. 
I've met really nice people here and spent a great time.
I'm rating this hostel with four stars but for the problems with the pipes in the shower. It was difficult to take a shower in a single shower room as the floor was full of water from the previous guest.
I recommend this place to stay if you look for a cosy and welcoming place.

A shelter for a single traveller

We stayed in a hostel with our friends for two nights. We booked a room for two, but then the plans changed, we came three. We were warned in advance by the administrators, for an extra fee we got a convenient locker in the room and a set of laundry for a third person. No problem, everything was very polite and in the way. The hostel itself was wonderful and cozy, in the rooms clean and comfortable, on one floor - 4 showers and 2 toilets. To the old town walking 5-6 minutes, to the train station - half an hour, it was not difficult to find him in the city. The only drawback was a very weak wifi, only caught in the kitchen. But as a result of sitting in the kitchen all the time we met other travelers and got to know each other company.
