The staff were very unhelpful and unfriendly, and had no patience or understanding when it came to explaining the situation. They cancelled my booking by mistake, however the amount had come off of my card already. When I explained this to them and showed them the reciepts, they still charged me another €100 for two nights. My first payment also reflected on their side, but still they said the cancellation was not their fault. This means I paid double for what I got, and they did not want to hear what I had to say and ignored the proof I had. As someone traveling though Europe on a budget, this severely effected me. 

Unhelpful, unfriendly and impatient staff

The bartender is extremely rude, poorly attended and arrogant. However, the maid was the opposite. She was well-mannered and smiling. The bartender spoke to us in a threatening and arrogant manner. Bad experience.

It's bad

The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the receptionists are all super friendly, the breakfast is very rich and the organization is very good, the room is good for sleeping alone and the bathrooms, although used by quite a few people, are clean.

Very welcoming.

I have stayed in different hostels and this one is of excellent quality. This one is extremely well located, has full breakfast service/for all tastes and both the managers and the staff team are extremely friendly and attentive. It is also without a doubt a good place to work/study. I highly recommend.

Excellent hostel

I was at the rooftop bar today to have a few drinks as they say in Lisbon. I was walking through the LX Factory and I decided to meet this rooftop. We arrived, we sat down, my wife ordered a gin and ordered a glass of wine and everything was going fine, until my wife noticed an insect inside the gin cup. We called the nice bartender and she at the same time said she would change, she apologized and went to the bartender. I was watching and I saw the bartender just pulling the insect from inside the glass and returning it to the bartender. I just didn't believe what we were seeing. Obviously, we accepted the same glass and I went to the bartender and said I was in the bar, and this is happening. At the same time, she said that we were not going to change, she apologized and went to the bartender.

The worst care I ever had in Lisbon.

The hostel certainly performs its function and the breakfast is excellent. Everything was very clean and the people were quite respectful at night. Being inside the LX Factory there is noise until 00:00 which seems like everyone stops and all the possible noise ends. The bathroom does not smell very well but I deduce that because it is constantly used. It was clean as well. It has within its premises places to eat or dine in a wonderful way and not at high prices. I am very pleased with the area but it is definitely a hostel to go alone or with friends, not as a couple. It is okay to continue sleeping and visiting, not to rest.

This site is great to share.

This hostel is located inside the LXFACTORY, has modern facilities and is in excellent condition. The decoration blends various artistic styles and is well-suited, and the staff is friendly. It has shared bedrooms and some private options, the bathrooms being shared, but spacious and in good condition. The price is affordable and is adjusted. The breakfast is pleasant. It has a refrigerator, washing machine and lounge, among other appliances that can be used (some with extra cost). To stay in the area, it is a very good option.

For a hostel, it's a good option

It's the second or third time I've stayed in this hostel and I usually stay in the fourth music room.

Reasonable

Evening arrival: This is a very modern 30-bed boutique hostel in a very old building. It’s like living in a work of art. My (reading) room was actually dark due to a very small window in the upper corner that I liked very much. When I arrived on a Wednesday evening, the place was super quiet with only a few guests checked in. The only thing the room didn’t have was a chair. The pillows were nice and small and extra soft for those who like to lay low, the color of white just like the large white fluffy towel (rented). There was a standalone coat hanger where one could hang their large towel for drying.   The morning after: one of the bigger doors had only a sliding door to the hallway. So, the common hallway was a bit stuffy and smelly from all the people sleeping in the boxed units, and their shoes resting in front of their units. The continental breakfast was simple and tasty with real cheese and salami.  Although the guests were quiet, one could hear everything through the thin walls. Time lines: This hostel runs on a guest friendly time line with: a 24-hr front desk, a generous 12-pm check out, and a 5-am breakfast that normally starts from 8am.

One night in the reading room.

I stayed at the dorms Friday-Sunday. There is a lot to do right outside your door. Plenty of restaurants and shops. Sunday is the best day because there is an art market. Lots of cute things to look at from vinyl to earrings to vintage clothing. Feels like a mini Brooklyn. I bought a few things. Everything was pretty affordable. 

Sleeping. I had a good nights sleep. It feels like you have a tiny room. It’s like you are sleeping in a box with a curtain at the end. I usually stay in all female rooms but since everyone is in their box I didn’t get to see too many of the people around me. Bathrooms were clean. And there is a big lounge area and kitchen to hang out if you like. They were very nice and helpful. I got there super early and had to wait to check in. But I took a nap on one of the couches. After a 10 hour train from Madrid it was nice just to be able to crash for a little. 

The location is a little farther away from the center. But I like to spend some time in a less touristy area to see more of local life. I could tell a big difference when I moved later to the center. I’m glad I stayed a few days there. Many bus lines were close by so it wasn’t hard to get around.
