The hotel is very old and is in poor condition, the price is cheap and the site is unbeatable, but only recommended if you only want it to put you directly to bed.

Ancient 

rooms are clean, place is near metro station and mostly near main city attractions. Clean rooms with repairs from the 80s, next to the metro, near the main attractions. very loud in the morning, no conditioner, unpleasant receptionist.

Good location

It's very basic. If you're looking for something to sleep in and little more is fine, since it's central, 5 minutes from Rossio station and the Elevator Da Gloria. We were looking for something central and that would be good for sleeping, and it worked for us. The beds were comfortable. The wifi worked smoothly. The staff is friendly. It's true, it lacks a reform in several aspects: painting, heating, bathroom, etc.. but enough to sleep.

Normally, it is centric.

So we were lucky with our room. It was clean, very old-fashioned, but okay for the price, you can't expect much, the staff was very friendly and the situation is really the hammer I was there when Portugal won the championship.

Hammer position, enough to sleep

My aunt and I spent a weekend in Lisbon and we stayed here because we found a really cheap flight+hotel deal. Of course it's cheap--it's falling apart. We had room 102. Luckily, there wasn't any weird smell or mold as others have stated. The room was dry, with three twin beds, an ancient TV, and no electrical outlets anywhere. The only outlet was for the TV, plus one high up in the bathroom. The bathroom was dreadful, with rusty fixtures falling off the wall.

Everything was falling to pieces, inside and outside the building. It looked really scary, too, because the lights in the stairs were always off so you had to find your way upstairs in darkness. The day we arrived, one of the steps had caved in. The following morning, the owners had already fixed it, so at least that's a good point.

Aside from how dilapidated and depressing the place was, I have to admit that our room was clean. The floors were clean, the linens were clean... I even swiped my finger around more inaccessible places and they didn't come out with any dust.

The hotel is also VERY close to the city center, with Rossio train station at just a couple minutes' walk and Praça do Comércio maybe ten or fifteen minutes away walking. It's location is very good. It's just a shame it's so run-down. It's also on a very noisy street, although it's a small street so you might not think that at first. My aunt and I woke up several times each night due to the noise outside: people screaming and laughing, metallic noises (like those big supermarket carts), bottles breaking... The hotel right across the street uses a pin code to open the door, so we could hear every person punching in their code to open the door.

Falling apart, but at least our room was clean

Familiar and comfortable. Clean and with a bathroom in the room. I was surprised by the breakfast. Good price-quality ratio. Located in high mud, area with a lot of nightlife, restaurants, drinking bars...

On arrival it looks like the house of the mad addams on a stormy night.On entering the room it is clean and does not smell bad, but it has no heating of any kind, which I consider inconceivable in the 21st century as long as we are in an old part of the city.The points in favor are two of the receptionists, especially the super friendly and educated afternoon, the location that is not bad although it could be better and the hot shower water that is the only thing that allowed us to combat the prevailing cold and humidity.

Inconcebible: no has heating.

It's very basic, needs renovations, and is short on plugs; but it's very clean, in the middle of nowhere and economical. It's close to the main streets, the subway entrance and the elevators. With restaurants, shops and theaters less than five minutes' walk away.

Centric is central.

When we were on are way to the hotel we were saying that it was going to be horrible but once we got there ... It was good!
I'm not saying it's a 5 star hotel (and it is old etc) I'm just saying that it's was clean,safe,and the staff were really nice.if your looking for a cheap hotel that's clean and safe here you go.🙂

Good location, good price, very clean, staff nice, but old building. The wi-fi is ok, but the tv not always work. The room was ok but very old. The acoustic is the worst part. Parking around is dificult. The Metro (Restauradores) is very close and the "Elevador da Glória" also.
