It's probably the most beautiful place on the island. It's so quiet and so beautiful. It's perfect for coming down.

Perhaps the most beautiful place on the island, the most beautiful garden I've ever seen, all very tastefully decorated.

Ruben is a great coach. Methodical, patient and encouraging. 
We had 4 trainings and after each one we rode better and better.
Ruben is very friendly and gave us many useful tips about the surfing and the island.
I can recommend his surf school to anyone who is thinking about catching the waves .

First surf experience

We were accommodated in the two bedrooms of the main house, a very beautiful place, ideal for children. Very good cleaning, service and breakfast! Nice and good mood! Well located, relatively close to the main beaches of the area. The only disadvantage is the parking that is off-site and public.

Very nice host et beautiful garden. Very quiet and nice to stay there. Cosy room with a view on the garden and mountain. Close to the center of Saõ Vicente, by car or by foot, so very practice for the restaurants.

Very Nice Guest house

I chose this place after I documented the structures of the area, a quiet place where you can enjoy the most total peace and relaxation, a wonderful garden, a good breakfast and a really strategic area, the place I preferred in Madeira!

Holidays in Madeira

We had a wonderful stay at the North Coast Guest House! The property is paradise like (especially the place with the hammock - great for a good read and relaxing), the house beautiful (very thoughtful decorated, good equipped kitchen, honest bar and the possibility for doing your laundry if needed) and the owners friendly, courteous and charming (awesome recommendations for eating out). The room was clean, cosy and had an astonishing view on the mountains. Breakfast was a continental, very tasty and served in a welcoming community room. Ruben even offers surf lessons (!), which my husband enjoyed very much. He explained all the basics well, was attentive and made it a fun experience! We highly recommend this little gem! We didn't miss anything. We are already thinking of coming back. Loved it. 

Little Paradise

We stayed at North Coast for 4 nights.
Very relaxed and laid back. The first time I went overseas and really relaxed.

Spacious rooms with wooden floors.
The lounge had a tv ,hi-fi and books to read with a honesty bar.

In Sao Vicente you need a car to drive to town because it is quite a steep walk.

Breakfast is included with a kitchen to prepare your lunch and dinner or you can go to the restaurants at the seafront.

Ruben is a sincere honest host that goes out of his way to make your stay memorable.

My friend and I spent 4 nights in the guest house and it was wonderful. The guide is super nice, helpful and quick to reach. The accommodation is beautiful and clean. There is a great, colorful garden and the facilities are lovely, the facilities are exceptionally good. There is nothing missing, we could not have booked a more beautiful, friendly accommodation. Location-top, host-top, apartment-top! Super happy to be back!! :)

A small paradise

The North Coast Guest House is a truly exceptional place with a beautiful garden and stunning mountain views. Ruben is a friendly host willing to help at any time. The room and bathroom were simply furnished but clean. Breakfasts were always tasty with fresh food. There is no heating in the room. When you come from a trip in a rainy day and your  clothes are wet you can use a hair dryer or  dryer machine in the kitchen .

Nice place

It was one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed in, if not the worst. I stayed two nights, the room smelled like mold, we barely got the internet. The room was outdated and not getting much maintenance for a long time. The space itself was very deserted, we had to stray from the trees to get into the room and I had dog cocoon on the floor. Although I stayed two nights there was no cleaning in the room. I'm a freelance reporter and so I'm used to being in a lot of places, but under these conditions never. Despite everything we were well received and we couldn't have any breakfast so we left this assessment open.
