When I first tried to find the hotel after newly arriving in Bucharest, the taxi driver dropped me in the middle of the maze of tiny streets where the hotel is and I thought I had booked something in the middle of nowhere. But when the door opened, I was totally surprised about the warmly lit lobby and the welcoming people who invited me for tea and coffee immediately. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated, the area is very quiet at night. I was there in winter and could not enjoy the garden, but it looked very nice. Only later I discovered that the hotel is actually in one of Bucharest's best areas and it is safe to walk home at night as a woman alone. I've done it multiple times and never experienced anything worrying. Thank you all for welcoming me!

Hidden gem, laid back atmosphere

Great place,lovely outdoor space,spacious rooms,air conditioning,free wifi with more routers connections(wich is closer to your room),water dispenser if you want a quick tea on the hallway. I will gladly come back when I’m coming on this part of Bucharest! Really friendly and helpful staff 👍

Just love it

The beautiful bride and I had the opportunity to visit one of our sons who currently lives in Bucharest.  He found the City Garden Hotel for us and we are very pleased that he did.  It is a small operation but it is well run and beautifully maintained.  We stayed for 10 days and we got to know the staff (only 4 people appeared to work there) the rooms are large and the bed is comfortable.  We were there in late December and early January, so I cannot speak about air conditioning.  The location is s block off the main drag and it is therefore quiet. (There was the occasional dog barking and rooster crowing but that is better than sirens and traffic noise). There is a funky little patio area with a cavelike grotto and a little balcony as well.  (For some reason there was a fake tiger head in the grotto ??). There is a little walk up patisserie just around the corner where things cost 2 to 4 Ley (50 cents to a dollar) and a grocery store nearby.  Note - things are very inexpensive in Bucharest.  When we return we will certainly go back to the City Garden.  Highly recommend it.

Great place to stay 

I've been to this hotel with my partner and we've had a great time. The double room is very large, the bathroom is the same. The reception is very nice, they give all the necessary directions and they also accept euros. The hotel is close to two metro and bus stations and in the north of the city centre with a nice walk you can get a little anywhere.

Good value for money

We stayed in the hotel for two night at the end of July 2017. From the welcome on arrival to "goodbye" on departure, everything was amazing. 
We stayed in room 2 and had an easy access to a good size communal balcony, which was a great bonus for active smoker like us. The hotel features a garden courtyard, sauna and outdoor hot tub.
Everything in the hotel is spotless, the room was very spacious and comfortable, furnished in modern, contemporary style. There is a water dispencer on the corridor and complementary coffee is available at reception every morning.
We did not use all facilities this family oned hotel had to offer, as we were in Bucharest to visit family and were out and about most of the time.
Overall, great hotel in a great location and we will definatelly back. Highly recommend to anyone who visit Bucharest for business or pleasure.


Hidden gem in the centre of Bucharest

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room was very spacious, clean, warm and with a large bathroom. The staff was very kind. The location is quite good if you are in Bucharest for tourism, as it is 500 meters from the metro station, but you are not right in the center. I recommend it for those who do not have demands of extremely chic or elegant environments, but rather seek cleanliness, comfort and courtesy.

Good price, good service

We spend 3 days in this small family hotel. the rooms where spacious and very clean. the owner and the rest of the staf where really helpfull and polite helping us in whatever we asked. based on its price City Garden Hotel is the best option in town. in our next visit of the city in is our first choice

Excellent

We stayed here for two nights with a couple of friends. 40 euros per couple per night. The hotel is very clean, well furnished and has a very nice terrace with a table and six chairs. The owner is friendly and available. I highly recommend it!

We picked it because of the proximity to the finesse lab, and we did well. Gentle staff. Great cleanliness. Ball thermophones.

Price is good.

Well, together we took the duplex apartment which is a two-bedroom apartment, we didn't see the kitchen on the ground floor? Good comfort and good quality/price ratio.
