Everything was perfect - clean, etc. But the list of prohibitions was unbelievable, it's not up to date, because you don't feel comfortable anymore, the times are probably over here too. We haven't experienced anything like this throughout our journey!

Highly monitored

Miercurea Ciuc has become quite a touristic place in the recent years so accommodation here is generally more expensive and not so easy to find if you do not book in advance, at least if compared to other cities in Romania. In this context, and for the services offered, I would say that Harmonia Pension is a good match between price and quality. The location is quiet and picturesque. Very good breakfast, homemade from good local products. The rooms are basic, small and probably in need for a refurbishment, but the place is clean. In order to access the house the host has to open the gate so keep that in mind if you need to stay up late. It has a small parking inside a closed fence. The host is very friendly and helpful, we really felt like home.

A decent stay and very friendly host

So my 1/5 score is my overall impression. To be fair, the rooms were at about 3/5, but the attitude of the host was bad bad bad. I've traveled quite a bit around the world, but was never treated in such a way. I'll leave an overall review, scroll down for a description of what happened.

Pro's:
-Quiet
-Comfortable
-Basic necessities were provided
-Has TV and wifi

Con's
-Major con: the host's manners
-The rooms were not locked when we were out, and someone obviously went in there every time we were out 
-Not very close to the center
-Access is apparently denied after a certain hour, since you need the host to open the main gate (which to me seemed absurd)
-Thin walls

Right, so again, the pension itself, without any human interaction was okay, I didn't expect something that I did not receive. However, the lady that had us there was unpleasant to the highest extent. Me and my girlfriend were there for a family wedding (together with another good part of the family - who received the same attitude from her). Not only the owner was recalcitrant throughout our stay there, but at the end, we left at 12:30 (which is 30 min after the general check-out time, in lack of any other information), and she started calling us names and telling us the most offensive things we've heard from a hotel owner (that we're not human, next time we should go to a hotel - as if a pension is the opposite of a hotel, and more that I wouldn't like to reproduce here).

I would only recommend if you wanna leave with a headache and not as a customer, but as someone to whom a favor has been done for having a room there.

Rooms were okay, but host was terribly impolite

I have been with my son in a small country tour and we selected to stay for one night at Harmonia Pension.
Is a nice place with helpful staff, the rooms are clean, not noisy. A good quality breakfast.

Simple and Nice

We arrived in the charming town of Miercurea ciuc, we stayed for one night at the pension harmonia.The guesthouse is located in a quiet and quiet area not far from the town centre.The rooms, a little small but warm, comfortable and clean.The owner, very friendly, speaks French and English, took an interest in our travel itinerary, giving me useful information and advice for the continuation of the same.

It is not a fancy place but is clean and simple. The owner of the pension is very nice and helpful with touristic informations about the area and she speaks English and French. The breakfast is great, made with bio home made products.

Simple but nice

The arrival in the late evening in Miercurea Ciuc, Brasov, was a surprise in every sense: honestly the first impression of the city centre, after pearls such as Sibiu and Brasov, without forgetting Alba Iulia and Oradea, was not the best, but they cannot be attributed to the Secularists the culprits of the madness of Ciaucescu. That said, after having tried with two hotels, decidedly expensive for the average budget spent up to then (which did not exceed 30€ for a wedding), we literally happened by chance in this pension, in having a modern bed and breakfast managed by a family of hospitals and speaking sense that made us feel very at home, in fact, they can not be attributed to the Secularists the culprits of the madness of Ciaucescu.
