Artists from different cities of Russia - participants of the project Russian Atlantis from June 10, 2021 live in this hotel. The reviews are most enthusiastic about everything around them: the hotel itself, and the Baikal, and natural objects, and places of power. At the same time, they love to talk about the hotel as an art-residence. Beautiful and cozy rooms, all the walls are decorated with paintings of Baikal and the Siberian taiga)) According to artists, there is excellent cuisine and a warm welcome by the family of the hotel owner Bair Rinchichanovich Budaev.

Excellent hotel and soulful reception.

For two weeks, the main location of the participants of the #RussianAtlantida project was the Art-residence Bargujin-Tokum. The hotel is located in a convenient location, you can visit it immediately from the trail.

Convenient location for artists

Modern, simple but good hotel. Wood and warm rooms (I stayed in February) large and comfortable beds, small bathroom. I don't know if you can find a better Ust Barguzin, however this is a good hotel. In the attached restaurant you eat very well and the breakfasts are abundant. The hotel also has a sauna.

Good hotel.

The Tokum can accommodate with very large, really spacious rooms. The bathrooms are well kept and simple, some of the rooms even have something like a lobby. I was there in April, at minus 10-15 degrees Celsius - the rooms are excellently heated and warm. Even a flat TV is inside. WIFI is free, but hardly works (because it's overloaded). The staff hardly speak English - understanding is not very easy. The hotel is right on the main street and thus also offers remote driving, making travelers a perfect opportunity for a midnight stay.

Round house on the east bank of Lake Baikal

Bargudzin Tokum hotel in Ust-Barguzin was an incredible experience during our trip in Buryatia.
It's a modern place with friendly and helpful staff, incredibly generous space, imposing furniture - but most importantly, it's super clean and boasts all necessary mod cons: wifi, aircon, tv, en suite showers.
But what sets this place into the league of its own, is the fact all of the interior walls are made out of cedar wood - which helps you sleep like a baby, the neighbouring cafe with delicious Mongolian and Russian dishes, and an amazing sauna with "Russian banya" style wet steam pool and an indoor cooling swimming pool made out of a large boat - talk about a surprise!

Fantastic modern hotel with a lot of space and conveniences

The hotel-hostel in this area is one of the best, the staff is very friendly and willing to help, but the electricity is cut off at night, the charging plane, so everything is very clean, which is the most important and convenient location.
