Our desire for nature travel to the Siné Saloum was fulfilled by the package organised by Celine and Gilles with wonderful discoveries and encounters in and around the Toubakouta mangrove, including bivouac, hiking and motorboating excursions and tours.

Traveling as a Couple

A beautiful place where the sweetness of living is an art. Celine and Gilles will show you the area away from the beaten paths and with an adorable team that is generous and always listening. We had a magical week where our 7-year-old son was as happy as we can be.

I spent a wonderful week in Keur Niaye. Celine and Gilles are unparalleled guests. Celine is a super blue cord, the meals are really delicious. The Doudou guide is very knowledgeable and passionate about birds. He is happy to show you the nature and culture of Sine Saloum. I took very nice walks with him and a very instructive visit to the village of Toubacouta. I also had a lot of discussions with the piroguier Pape. I can only recommend the discovery stay in Keur Niaye for a full getaway with a bivouac night

A very short stay (2 nights) we loved so much: top reception by Gilles and Celine. The house is quiet with a garden where birds are kings. The guest table is remarkable: very well served with an originality of dishes and flavors. A rich and excellent lunch. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Special mention for Doudou and Pap who accompanied us on two sublime boat and walking walks. Great passionate and very attentive professionals. An unforgettable stay and one we will highly recommend around us.

The days at Keur Niaye have been a joy! Celine and Gilles are extraordinary guests, with their team they are always listening to every need and do everything to make the stay in their beautiful home unforgettable. Gilles will show you the Delta and its wonders, with the guide Doudou, an unbeatable specialist in flora and fauna, and on our return we are spoiled by Celine's delicious cuisine, which combines African, European and Asian flavors. The day begins with a breakfast with jams and homemade yogurt, surrounded by small birds visiting the garden, and by a balcony in the delta, the village of a market or Toubacouta with its inhabitants.

A wonderful stay

Just wanted to add to the mountain of well-deserved praise for Céline and Gilles  at Keur Niaye. Everything from the mattresses to dinner was exceptional. I sincerely hope to return one of these days and spend more time.  Hosts like these are worth the trip!

As perfect as everyone says.

We stayed at Maison d'hote Keur Niaye for 3 days and it was extraordinary! The owners, Gill and Celine, are SO nice and welcoming, It's hard not to mention that Celine is also an amazing cook! Her foods are just amazing: My boyfriend usually doesn't eat fish, eggplants, mangoes and he ate all these while we were there and absolutely loved it! Also, their activities were very well organized. The boat trips to the mangroves, eating fresh oysters from the trees, visit to bird island, grilled fish on the beach. fishing in the mangrove forest...everything was perfect! We would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting this beautiful village

Home sweet home :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay with the owners Celine  and Gilles  who are clearly well integrated  within the local village community.
The accommodation is very comfortable  and clean with attention to detail throughout. The garden is delightful , filled with birdsong and relaxing  places to sit under the trees.
Highlights  include excellent freshly prepared food, including Korean barbeque; a meal taken with a local family in the village; a trip to the busy Sunday market and a boat trip in the mangroves. 
The whole experience was very positive and we were made to feel very welcome with nothing too much trouble.
We would highly recommend staying at  Keur  Niaye if travelling in this area.

Tranquil oasis in Sine  - Saloum  Delta

I was there with a friend, we arrived there very tired and celine (the owner of the place) gave us sooooo good food..the place was very nice and it was so beautiful to stay there! perfect and 100% recommendation! Celine is so nice! You will be like in your home..

Excellent

In September we took a road trip through Senegal, starting from Toubakouta and ending in Dakar. Keur Niaye was, without a doubt, the best place to stay during the trip. Celine (the owner) is a charming person and also cooks Super Bien. During our stay we booked a tour with the hotel, went to see the birds during the sunset, it is a 100% recommended tour. One of the nights Celine suggested that we accompany her to dinner with a village family, it was one of the best experiences I have ever had (and the most impressive, especially because of the cultural shock). The rooms are large, the bed is very comfortable with the accommodator. They only have one, the bathroom has no door, but the few rooms we had stayed in.
