We picked this hotel for it's great location, just off La Rambla, near Placa Reial. We booked a Superior Room with Terrace. On arrival in our room, on the fourth floor, we decided that our terrace was overlooked by tourists visiting the Palau Guell which was opposite the hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful and offered us a terraced room on the fifth floor which suited better. The room was comfortable and of reasonable size, and having your own terrace was a great plus point. 

The rooms do not have tea/coffee making  facilities or a minibar fridge, but this was not a problem. There is a safe in the room but you must ask at reception for the key (this is provided free of charge). The bathroom was fine with a shower over the bath. The air-con in the room worked well, though the room radiator did not have any means to turn it off - still working in March during our visit.

There is a communal roof terrace which provides great views across the city.

The breakfast was the usual selection of cereals, Juice, tea/coffee, fruit, cheese, cold meats, breads, yoghurts and a small hot selection of sausage, bacon and scrambled egg (replenish regularly). We found the breakfast was good and set you up well for the day.

The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are planning a visit.

Nice Hotel In A Great Location

We stayed here for a few days before a cruise.  The hotel location suited us as we were able to walk to some of the sights in Barcelona.  (It is very close to Las Ramblas and Palau Guell was across the street although a popular sight like the Sagrada Familia is much further away.)

The people at the desk were polite.  The self serve breakfast was decent although the scrambled eggs and other "hot" items were not that hot.  

When it came time to check out and make our way to the cruise ship, we walked about 10 minutes to the cruise port bus stop (with our luggage) and took the bus to the ship (about 3 euros per person).

Close to Las Ramblas and about 10 minute walk to Cruise Port bus

Stayed for one night paying 130euro for what is described as a 'superior' room. I think it gets that name as it had a large balcony overlooking the Palau Guell, where those visiting the roof of that attraction can get a good look at you.
The positives of this city centre hotel are
1) Its location near Las Ramblas
2) Friendly & efficient reception staff
3) It was clean
4) Decent free wifi
5) Passable breakfast choices
The negatives
1) For a room described as superior it was very small
2) No fridge
3) No tea/coffee making facilities
4) Bed very uncomfortable
5) Walls are very thin, everything could be heard from the room next door.
For a one night stay it was okay but for anything longer I would look elsewhere.

One night pre cruise stay

Got a very good price on-line ... even though reviews were ok, was a little nervous. But turned out great.
Room was quite small, but workable and very clean. The bar was unappealing.
Excellent location. Good breakfasts in a pleasant room. Staff were helpful. Quiet enough.
Would go back again (for 2-3 nights before a cruise, but not for longish stay).
A very solid 3 Star hotel and excellent value.

For price, can't be beat !

It exceeds expectations. Among the 3 stars, it is one of the cheapest, the location is unbeatable, and the view of the terrace is 360 degrees (and above it is the Palau Guell, so you can see its entire terrace, which is more than striking). I took the cheapest double room. and I was surprised by the large size, as well as the bathroom that includes a bidet and bathtub.

Good location, basic rooms.  Breakfast was nice with several options.  Definitely a 3 Star Hotel and price was right.  Staff was nice nothing negative to say.  Easy access to Gaudi palace and metro.  Airport shuttle a 10 minuet wall from hotel down the Rambla.  

Good location 

A good hotel in the very centre of Barcelona near the Luceu metro station,30 metres from the Rambla and near the Plaza de Catalunya.The hotel is not large with cozy rooms and views of the Pallau Guell.A good breakfast and a splendid terrace with a swimming pool and views of the neighbouring building and the Barcelona panorama.

The Gaudi hotel

Hotel is clean and comfortable and staff are knowledgable, friendly and helpful. No tea making facilities so pack a travel kettle if you love your tea! The hairdryer provided is attached to the wall in the bathroom so you may want to pack one of those too. The hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy Barcelona; on the Ramblas, dIrectly opposite the Palais Gaudi, a stroll to the seafront and the marina and a 2 minute walk to the Metro which is easy to use - if unsure you can check with the helpful receptionists. Also opposite is a fab pizza counter selling enormous slices of tasty pizza for €2! Luggage storage was really appreciated. My only minor gripe was that the rooms were really warm at night (I personally prefer no heating). This is my 4th visit to Barcelona and if/when I return - this is where I will stay.

Ideal location!

Stayed at Hotel Gaudi 12-15 February for my husbands birthday with my daughter and boyfriend.  Reception staff were very helpful, we stayed on the fourth floor which had a balcony with chairs and table overlooking Palais Guell.  The hotel is clean and breakfast was adequate.  The hotel is in a great location for all the tourist attractions.

Great Location

Stayed for 4 nights in Feb with my daughter for her 21st birthday. Lovely room, lots of hot hot water! Very clean and towels changed everyday. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was nice, coffee perfect and they even cater for Gluten Free which I only found out on the third morning and I had very yummy muffins.
Location is perfect. View from our room was beautiful. On my daughters birthday we had a knock on the door and hotel had sent us a bottle of cava to enjoy before we went out. Little things like this, show they take note of their guests and care. This was a lovely gift.
I intend to return with my younger daughter, but will prob need a holiday to recover! Amazing city.
