This was my first experience of a retreat of any kind and I was not disappointed. The setting is stunning, accommodation lovely, and the whole experience enabled an intense spiritual journey for me building on meditation work I had started in early 2021. Its a very intimate retreat with very small numbers; the yoga and meditation practices take place in a yurt with stunning views over the valley. Rose and Ian the hosts are very welcoming and warm, infusing each day with their meditation and spiritual knowledge guiding each participant on their own journey. 9 months later and I am still reaping the benefits of having attended this retreat.

Wonderful Andalucian meditation experience



Every space at this retreat is beautiful. Rose and Ian go out of their way to accommodate each guest. Their attention to detail was supreme. Rose has an incredible resume of the work she has done in the meditation world. Ian's yoga and meditation classes each morning were gentle and led for all levels. Every meal Rose made was with the intention to nourish and heal, as well as taste delicious. They are true beacons, showing us how to live with desire to make the world a better place; and it showed all 11 days days I stayed with them. I am looking forward to the next time I am able to study with them again.

Meditation teacher training

The actual transition into the New Year without the usual ceremonies and excitement, but rather completing the ending year in a calm and yet alive way, continually going deeper and increasing my inner connection, finding clarity and trust, and more. And in a very gentle and sweet way the whole group, bonded in the heart, kind of sailed and also danced into the New Year.

Again this retreat was very fabulous. For the first time I was in the new Secret Garden. And I can tell you Rose&Jan moved from the paradise to an even more outstanding paradise. Even though there are no yourts to stay overnight but there are very cosy guesthouses. The place is so lovely with a fantastic view. And Rose and Ian care very personally with so much love. Thank you!

The most excellent break-through retreat

Thank you so much, Rose and Ian, for the wonderful time and the profound experience, that I got from the retreat in the Secret Garden. Your highly individualized and personal support helped me to leave behind self-doubt and complacency. I found a lot of strength in heart and soul to trust in myself and in my vision to bring out, what lives inside of me. My life is changing in so many ways. Trust in my vision

I am very lucky. I manage to come to the Secret Garden at least twice a year. My body and soul ALWAYS get to many menefits that it is a priority for me. I met Rose and Ian some four years ago now, and they never stop surprising, encouraging and motivating me. This new place of theirs is astonishing, and they are quickly making it another sacred space, a real ashram. 
This last retreat in December was very special for me, I can honestly say that it became a landmark in my life, so much is moving on since then that my heart is bursting with gratitude. I am likely to be taking importat, life-turning decisions, having my goals in life clearer and my will stronger and single-purposed. The retreat helped me to become clearer about what I want to do in my life professionally, a change of career, something which had always been in my mind, waiting for the right timing. Being for a week with Rose and Ian, and the others I met in the retreat, gave the strength and push I needed. It is still to see how it all evolve, but whatever way it may go, it is definitely a great step forward for me, this I am positive about.
I encourage everybody to come to the Secret Garden, regardless of what your goal/s may be, you are undoubtedly getting benefit from it. I am sure you will be real happy you came!

My Favourite Place

One of the first things that attracted me to this training was the set up of the 6 week course before the 11 day hands on training in person. To me it gave more room for growth, personal process and developing a relationship with Rose before the Secret Garden. Rose is so incredibly full of knowledge and Ian is so supportive. I came looking for meditation teacher training and gained so much more than that. The tools, room for self discovery and training are so beyond words. That's not even to mention the FOOD and view that I miss everyday. I would encourage every single person to go on this adventure. 

Life changing

This is more than a holiday. This a retreat for yourself, your body and mind! You do not sit and wait till things will get better, NO, here you come home. You will focus only on yourself, in this beautiful place and surrounding you can finally see what it is you want in life. And start acting and DO it! Best journey ever you can give to yourself.

Awesome homecoming

Whilst me like others have taken holidays to experience wonders of the world, bombard our senses with the best sights, sounds, food, hotels etc, very little attention has been focused on how to experience the wonder of our true self. 

Rose and Ian facilitate that journey to finding the joy and happiness that all of us are entitled to have. 

My husband and I went with no expectations but to spend some quality time with each other in a quiet, beautiful and warm location. But what we’ve come back with surpasses anything we could have asked for. Something words can’t really describe. 

If you’re ready to be brave and face the truth and release all the baggage that we tend to carry around as adults, this is the place for you. 

Through guided meditations, one to one counselling, group yoga and tailored massages, all negative aspects are exorcised and I was left feeling positive, happy, refreshed and light.

From the views to the food to the accommodation, everything marries perfectly to give you what you need to breathe and find your journey home.

I realise there’s lots of work still to do, but visiting Rose and Ian at The Secret Garden for a week has set me on the right path to bring about the life I want.

Holiday for the soul

I can only highly recommend the Secret Garden Retreat Center ! 
The location is outstanding - beautiful green mountains , very quiet , extremely confortable casitas... but most of all, the profound and enriching work that we did with Ian and Rose will remain a turning point in my life . 
Ian and Rose are very grounded and experienced spiritual Guides. You will find that they can lead you with care , respect and professionalism . 
We went as a couple and both of us came out rejuvenated and opened-hearted. 
Their work is courageous and demanding, and they focus on the most important details to allow a personal journey to unfold exactly the way it should unfold for you, individually and personally !
