Dark, dirty and ruinous. we paid in cash and we were not given the return or the bill. we registered in a blank sheet and agreed to have the return of payment and the bill after leaving the suitcases. no contestan on the phone and we never saw the receptionist again.

To make a run.

We had a reservation from about 20 days before the date.On the same day of the stay we are informed in the morning that there has been a problem with the reservation and that if we don't mind they can offer us an apartment in the center of Monforte.We are sent photographs of it and how we liked to accept it.We were asked about the arrival time and were waiting to give us the keys.A completely new and very well equipped apartment, once installed, they called us to see if we were in compliance with it.What could have been a disruption was otherwise we had a full house for ourselves alone at the price of the hostel room.So I commented very good experience.

 Favorable experience

A very recommended hostel, it is in the center, but with tranquility, the attention of the owner very good, the room very nice, clean, with anti-covid measures, the beds very comfortable.

Enchanted 

Hostel in the center of Monforte de Lemos, with no difficulty parking in the surroundings. Clean rooms (4 in total), very comfortable beds and pillows, with large TV and air conditioning. The included breakfast is fine, they offer you freshly made toasts and natural juice! They also have a mini buffet with yogurt, baked goods and various types of cereals. The girl who attended us, Lorena, is charming. The only drawback is that there is no elevator, and there is no room on the ground floor so it is not recommended for people with mobility problems.

Better than expected.

The moment you arrive and see the façade you are frightened, as you enter it completely changes, everything decorated in medieval times. The very friendly workers indicated where we could dine and their total availability to call if we needed anything. The room with balcony gives to the college of Nuestra Señora la Antigua, beautiful views but can be an inconvenience if you want tranquility as it gives a fairly busy street and noises are heard. Small but welcoming and clean room. In the breakfast they offer freshly expressed juice and freshly toasted as well as cafes, infusions... It is very close to the pedestrian zone with restaurants.

Good quality/price ratio

The truth is that from the outside you think you'll be disappointed, but it's not. They have it conditioned by reference to the number (vintage dresses at the entrance, paintings of kings, shields....), the clean, spacious room (and even if it looked like the street there was nothing x its double window). The varied breakfast + the options they offer you. A charming place, where you would repeat!

With Encanto

We chose this hostel because it was in the heart of Monfort and had a good look, did not disappoint at all, the excellent treatment and the very cozy room.

It's perfect for passing through a tunnel.

Very dissatisfied with the room they gave us, the reservation was for a luxury room with balcony some gave us a patio with two windows on the roof with a lot of moisture smell, the small bathroom and the bathroom outside the bathroom inside the room somewhat uncomfortable.

Cheating in the room

Very dissapoined   room without any Windows,  had an extra sitting area which was damp and cold and we couldn't use it    water leaking down the walls from rain outside    not a great place   this part of town also wasn't very nice    better places on the other side of town on the way to the parador 

Don't stay here

There is not much positive to say about Hostal Medievo. Upon arrival they had no record of the phone booking.  The female owner even denied the phone call. The room was damp water was coming in thru doorway to an external area so we had to use a towel to staunch the flow. It was freezing and the heating did not work for 3 hours after arrival and many complaints. The room had a very bad smell I suffer mildly from asthma but the room had me reaching for an inhaler ASAP.  But the worst was yet to come as all night we were kept up by the incessant noise of vermin sounded like rats but who knows which we think is why it stank.

Absolutely horrible!!!
