Negombo

Hotel booked for one night after our arrival at the airport. Very clean, simple, near the Negombo beach. The staff were super smiling and helpful. Malidu, the owner's brother came to pick us up at the airport at 3:00 in the morning, he is at the top of the top. The next day he called for us at the train station to know the train times and then dropped us off there and during the journey he stopped to take pictures. I recommend staying here:)

That's a really nice staff.

When we arrived there, there was no one and we had to ask a local tuk tuk driver to call someone to let us in. The room was mot ready although it was 3 pm so we left our luggage and went to the beach to give them the time to prepare our room. When we got back we find out our rooms door was opened, as well as the main building door and no one was there. All our belonging were there and anyone cpuldhave stolen them. Moreover, they dis not clean the room. They only changed the bed sheet. They did not even remove rhe rubbish the previous guests left in the bathroom. We had to ask three times the guy to provide toilet paper, cos je kept forgetting it and complaining he was really busy cos he was left alone. He was a nice guy but the experience was not really good unfortunately.

Poor place, not worth the money

We rang them re our booking when we arrived at Colombo train station and the phone would not connect . We tried to ring once more when we arrived in Negombo because our taxi driver didn't know where they were , still no connection. When we finally found it the place looked closed down , e.g. no longer operating and that ladies and gentlemen is exactly that , it has closed down hence the no phone connection . However the two young guys keeping an eye out on the place (former employees now managing the property next door )Tried to give us the most dingiest musty room there , with a window that couldn't be locked on the ground floor. When we refused to take the room they  directed us to their new property "Barracuda Inn "or some such which they are renovating but still has a long way to go . We stayed in the grotty place one night because it was getting late but it's a bit of a have really as they are still on the books of all the travel sites and need to be removed . I was a bit unwell and It was pretty stressful thinking we have arrived at our destination all organised only to have this sort of stuff going on . We were lucky enough to find other nice and affordable accommodation the next day .

This establishment Oceans Edge Boutique Hotel is shut down

After booking 6 weeks in advance we arrived at the hotel at 3am. We asked for airport pick up but no one to meet us so we took a taxi. No one there to greet until we found tuk tuk driver who knew someone from the hotel. They gave away our paid room to someone else and wanted us to wait 2 hours for a room. They couldn't help with another place to stay. We returned 3 times during day times to speak to someone about a refund but no one ever at reception. We emailed but no response. Agoda finally arranged refund. 

Disaster

The location is great, the owner is very hardworking and helpful. We were able to store our things for a few hours on the day of departure and he helped us rent a motorcycle cheaply. The beach is very close, unfortunately it was extremely dirty.

Manager was friendly .he arranged air port pickup .clean room and no noices place .super speed internat facility.i decide to come again to srilnka and stay here.very good place and city in srilanka name as negombo

Like a friend

Its a place I am likely to come back too.good vacation. Clean well equipped nice room.and good value.its such good for singles and couples. Staff also friendly .and good response .due to the situated in beach area its good place

Perfect

The guest house was small for a couple and quite essential in the furnishings: a single towel, no soaps, no phon, TV failing. Despite these shortcomings the living room proved pleasant especially for the courtesy and availability of Udaj, always present to meet our requests. In the room there were ants and a nice geco. PRO The air conditioning worked perfectly, few mosquitoes, mattress and comfortable cushions, hot and comfortable water.

Essential

Very hospitable and friendly staff, especially the good spirit and guards of the facility, clean and modern bathroom, air conditioning on the room,comfortable bed. Many other points of criticism (also on other pages) such as missing towels, unclean condition, missing rolls, etc. were either taken into account or were not taken into account in our room.

Relax 2 days before departure

The number has nothing to do with what you're going to find, the photos don't reflect the reality of this hotel.We arrived around 9PM, there was no one and we had to open the neighborhood and he told us that the next morning a girl would come and prepare our breakfast, he told us to choose the room we liked best, all were careless and not very clean, we spent the whole night alone and with the main door open, the televisions not working, no cables and they are there for decoration.
